chapter 76

I opened the door widely for Lee and Conner to walk in. I smiled at their appearance.

"Thanks for coming over." I said, them following me into Madison's living room. They both sat down on the love seat across from me.

Lee spoke up first, "So what did you need us for? Cause Conner is heading over the hospital at noon."

I took a deep breath, "Well I'm going home tonight. My plane leaves at 5.." I said calmly.

Lee's eyes widened in surprise. She was about to speak, but Conner beat her to it. "Why would you do that to Nathan?" He snapped.

I shrugged. I didn't have an answer for that question, because I don't know why I hurt all these people that I love. I can't help it, it just happens

I didn't say anything, you could just hear our steady breathing. "Speechless, huh?" Conner said, rolling his eyes. "I figured. At least have the guts to go tell Nathan your leaving." He said jolting out of the room. I didn't want this to happen. I didn't plan Nathan being in the hospital, almost dying from drugs! I didn't plan on kissing him, and leaving Harry. I didn't plan on seeing Nathan while visiting Madison. I didn't plan for any of this to happen!!

I grabbed the ends on my hair in frustration, Lee sat down beside me patting my back. "He's just mad, Zoe. Let him calm down.. Come to the hospital and say goodbye to him, please for me.." She tried smiling. I put a fake smile across my face. I nodded, standing up.

I grabbed my car keys, "I guess, I'll follow you guys over." I said walking outside seeing Conner already in the driver seat of his car, looking pissed off.

I made my ways through the plain white halls of the John Hopkins Hospital, finding my way to his room once again.

I walked on in seeing Nathan sat up in his bed, with Curt sitting in one of chairs. Soon as Nathan saw me, his attitude completely changed. He looked furious, angry at me.

Curt stood up, embracing me into a hug. "Hey, Madison." Curt said quietly. I replied with a 'Hello.'

Every time I'd look at Nathan, he would strongly look away. I sat down on the bed Nathan was laying in. "Hey." I said, smiling.

He didn't say anything at all. Curt, Lee, and Conner must've stayed outside in the hall to give us some space.

"Nathan."

He rolled his eyes finally giving into me. He looked at me, trying not to laugh. "Yes?" He laughed. We always had the friendship where we couldn't stay mad at each other, yet he will probably be mad when I tell him I'm leaving.

"See, I knew you couldn't be mad." I laughed. Nathan motioned me closer to him, he opened his arms for a hug.

I quickly agreed, sitting down beside him on the bed, wrapping my arms tightly around his neck. He nuzzled his head in my neck, "I'm sorry, Zoe. For everything I ever did to you." He mumbled. I nodded, "It's okay, Nathan. But we need to talk." I pulled away from the embrace sitting down in the chair beside him.

He smiled, "What did you need to tell me?"

I wish I didn't have to do this to him. I could tell him I have class and I won't be coming back for months at time, but he can see right past my lies. Part of the truth is, I'm going to make everything right with Harry. Yeah, we are friends.. But that's not enough for me.

"Uh, I'm leaving today. I have to go back to London." I admitted.

Nathan sighed, he looked down at his hands fumbling with them. He has mad, I know. But I don't live here, the only reason I came was because he was in the hospital.vit would've been pretty dirty of me, not to come.
