"Lance!" I shouted pushing past the crowd of people. Jacob was right at my heels.

We had alerted security and they were scanning the mall and checking the security cameras.

Layton had already said he had no idea where Lance went.

How could somebody disappear that fast!?

I stopped in the main plaza now, trying not to panic.

I wiped my watering eyes my breathing quickening. Jacob put a hand on my shoulder, "We're going to find him.. he'll be fine.."

"One of us should have stayed..I should have stayed with him.." I muttered.

"Stop with that." Jacob said trying to keep the tremble out of his own voice.

He gently started to lead me back to Milah, who wasn't doing any better than me.

Julie, JJ's mom had an arm around Milah trying to calm her down. Jessie looked like she was going to throw up. And layton simply looked sad that his friend wasn't there.

A group of police officers walked by us into the candy store. As one of the police dogs walked by, I swore he winked at me. And to make it even more weird, it was a white German Shepard just like that dog from the stupid movie Lance loved.

"Did that dog just..wink at me?" I asked.

"It's Boone." Jessie whispered "Milah knows one of the officers. So we snuck him in."

I nodded taking a shaky breath, I don't think I've ever been this scared.

And I know what it's like to be scared.

Not, oh! That spooked me, scared.

I mean, terrified to the point of physically passing out.

"Rogue..your shaking."

I glanced at JJ my lip starting to tremble.

"We have all the exits blocked.. he's not going anywhere." JJ assured me.

I wiped my eyes, "But what if somebody hurts him.."

JJ smiled weakly, "Lance is strong. I'm more worried about anybody who trys to cause him any trouble."

Thats when dogs started barking.

I flinched, that was definitely from outside the mall.

Almost instantly we all took off, sprinting towards the sound.
