Today was the last day of summer.

And I was dying inside.

"I don't wanna be a fucking junior!" I shouted.

"Language! And to bad!" Milah called from the living room.

"Yeah but you'll get the attention of all the hot seniors now." Jacob laughed.

I glanced at Boone who was sitting at the kitchen bar, obviously listening.

"Heh..yeah." I looked down.

"You'll get alot of attention to Boone. Chicks are always after the blonds." Jacob smirked walking over to ruffel his hair.

I clenched my fists feeling suddenly protective.

"Hey Boone can I show you this new game I got upstairs?" I asked already heading towards my room.

"Uh sure." He said following me.

As soon as we got up the stairs I pushed him into my room shutting in the door.

"What are you?-"

I pushed him against the wall silencing his lips with my own.

I broke away moving down to his neck. He brought a hand up to cover his mouth as I began kissing and sucking at his neck.

"Rougue.." he gasped "your gonna leave a mark."

I stopped glancing at the dark purple mark on his neck.

"To late."

He sighed, "What was that all about anyway."

"I don't know I just..I don't know." I shrugged it off leaning in for another kiss.

He met me halfway wrapping his arms around my neck.

I lifted him up, he wrapped his legs around my waist. I shuddered at the contact, god why didn't I make a move on him sooner.

"Oh god Rogue.." he groaned as I moved down to his neck once more.

"What are you guys up to in there?"

I dropped Boone who landed with a loud thump.

"What the hell?" He muttered rubbing his back.

"Nothing Lance!" I called.

"Can I join?" He asked.

"No! We're coming out in just a second!"

I reached down helping Boone up, "sorry"

He rolled his eyes,"It's fine."

I winced at his harsh tone, "Are you alright?"

"My ass hurts." He muttered.

"BOONE SAID A SWEAR!" Lance shouted followed by footsteps running down the stairs.

"LANCE! WHAT'D I SAY ABOUT EAVESDROPPING!" I yelled swinging open my door.

"BOYS!" Milah warned.

"Lance! Stay AWAY from my room!"

I shut my door with a huff, "God he needs to have a playdate or something."

"I should get downstairs, have to do some last minute supply shopping for school." Boone said kissing me on the cheek as he walked by.

"I'll see you tonight?"

"Like always." He assured me shutting the door behind him.

I couldn't help but smile a little, every night seemed to be better than the last. We were definitely getting more comfortable with each other.

Not to mention we had gradually began to get more ah..touchy, each night.

We had finally decided on the term, friends with benefits. It fit our situation perfectly, and we were both ok with it for now.

We were doing a pretty good job keeping it a secret from the other kids. But if you looked closely, you could definitely see hints of Boone around my room.

He had his own pillow and an extra blanket because apparently I hogged them at night.

There was a part in my closet for him to put his clothes for the morning. And his guitar that he liked to strum on every now and then was hidden away in a corner.

He probably won't come

Maybe he found a better guy

I mean you are getting pretty scrawny

Ugh your eyes on creeping me out.

I pinched the bridge of my nose getting a headache from all the voices speaking at once.

"Shut up." I hissed hiding my face in my hands.

Friends with benifits? Really?

I bet you think he'll want to be your boyfriend right?

What a joke!

He'll find a nice girl and leave you in the dust.

He should run while he can.

Why dont you just kill your-

"ENOUGH!"

The voices silenced as a familair face came into view. I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding, "Thanks Bails.."

He nodded, "Have they been getting worse? The voices I mean."

I nodded, "Yeah actually."

"What are they focusing on?"

"Mostly Boone, and my appearance as been mentioned alot more lately."

"I'll try to keep them away, just a bad spell. It will pass soon, just don't let them get to you."

I nodded tapping my fingers against the side of my leg.

"I'll check in on you later."

He dissapeared with a wave.

And so I was there.

Alone.

With my own thoughts.
