I leaned my head against the window with a sigh. I had almost forgotten the name I had created for myself around the school. But apparently they else hadn't.I wasn't exactly the best student last year.
And I did something that I still regret to this day.
Milah doesn't know.
Neither does Jessie, Jacob, or Lance.
Only JJ.
And then a few guys found out.
Only a choice few.
But they threatened to tell people every chance they got.
And well..
"Hey Rogue! You seen Mr.Ried around?"
I glared at the boy a few seats in front of me who was currently smirking at me.
"Fuck off Ray." I shouted back.
"Or What?" He teased.
"I'll tell Cassidy about what you were doing with sierra."
He silenced turning back around.
"What I thought.." I muttered.
"What was that about?" Boone asked.
"Nothing." I said quickly "dont worry about it."
The mild chatter turned into hoots and hollers as we pulled into the school parking lot.
As soon as we stopped everybody got up rushing their way to the front.
I on the other hand, took my sweet time.
Boone
Once we got out of the bus and onto the school yard, I realised something.
Rogue was actually quite popular.
If you don't count those few guys on the bus.
Almost everybody he passed greeted him with a smile. Even if Rogue didn't return it.
Especially the girls.
Whenever he walked by they would bat their eyelashes and try to catch his attention.
I felt myself get more jealous with each passing moment.
"Hey Rogue! Over here!" A girl called trying to wave him over to her group.
He rolled his eyes making his way over.
She looked shocked that he had actually come over. The rest of her friends, that consisted of three other girls were blushing madly.
"So we were wondering.. want to come to the pep rally with us tonight?" She asked with a shy smile.
He hesitated, "What was your name again?"
Her face dropped, "Oh uh.. I'm Maya.."
I realized frost starting to grow around her feat. Starting to shiver now I wrapped my arms around myself.
"Oooh." He exclaimed "Didn't we used to call you Frosty?"
She blushed looking down, nodding slightly.
"Rogue." I hissed nudging him "Don't be rude."
He looked genuinely suprised to hear he was being rude, "Oh I'm sorry."
She smiled, "It's fine! So is that a yes? No?"
"Nah, I'll be busy." He shrugged "see you around."
She grinned waving.
We had barely walked away before squealing could be heard from behind us.
"He talked to me!" The girl screeched.
"And did you see his friend!? Total cutie!" Another exclaimed.
I walked a little closer to him.
"Rogue! Rogue!" Somebody yelled.
Rogue turned around the glare on his face softening when he realized who it was.
"Hey JJ, whats up." He asked.
"Mr.Ried..he moved up a grade man..you have him for math." JJ said his voice lowering to a whisper.
"You've got to be kidding." He groaned.
"I'm not done." JJ sighed "he's your homeroom as well.."
At first I thought that Rogue was just upset he got a bad teacher or something.
But then I noticed the tears in his eyes.
"Jay..I can't go in there man." He whispered.
JJ put a hand on his shoulder, "you just have to get through this quarter ok?"
"Why is Mr.Ried so bad?" I butted in.
They both seemed to have forgotten that I was there.
"Ah he just..gives alot of work. Strict as hell." JJ chuckled.
I nodded.
It was obviously a lie.
But they clearly didn't want to tell me yet.
So I'd just wait it out.
I jumped a little as the bell rang.
Rogue waved and gave me a semi scared glance before heading to his homeroom.
What was going on?
