DEATH OF RAINDROPS

10 8 3

Wow, not now, cuss crowd in rhyme
Earphones foiling the music outside.
There was deafening silence inside.
None but poor felt raindrops crying.
Afraid to levitate n' afraid of trying,
Afraid of concrete n' afraid of dying.
Aftermath of massacre is so sublime;
Destined to gutter in almost no time.

Regret, remorse, resentment reside
For bereaving blue hamlets' grey skies,
For flawed rainbow fluid on anthracite,
For droughting crop fields for city life.
Stillborn seeds' vestige shroud hides.
Sitient silt's heart cracks open wide.
Forgiven raindrops run in ruined veins
Reviving the grains; gracing own graves.
