RAINBOW ON THE DOOR

I suspected someone,
Walked in;
Windows wide opened,
Hyacinths blooming happy.
Doormat was free of dust,
Letterbox bare and empty.
A spare key was not in the shoe,
Atmosphere a lil less blue.
Autumn leaves-proof porch,
In dustbin, Jack Daniels disposed.
Wafting vanillin from the verge,
Couldn't control; home I trudge.
Looked lowly, on the knob.
Motioned magic n' door unlocked.
Heart halted, pupil dilated.
Flashbacks fueled to present.
Nerves pulsed as normal again.
It rained in those eyes then.
And I felt like,
The rainbow on the door.
