After Nat and Clint's class ended, every single Slytherin scurried off towards the castle. Only the Gryffindors walked away normally.Like, why were they so scared of Ms. Romanoff and Coach Barton? They were literally one of the best teachers they've ever had. I mean, sure, they were a little tough on them but it was for the better, right? Thanks to them they now know how to keep someone in a chokehold. Plus, Coach Barton jokes around with the class all the time so that makes the class even more fun.
"Well, that was entertaining." Nat ruffled Harry's and Ron's hair, giving both boys a soft smile. "Shouldn't you be heading to your next class?"
"We don't like Potions." Ron answered sadly.
"That's the class with that one asshole, right?" Clint took a bite out of his cookie.
Hermione sighed at the language and shook her head in disappointment.
"Snape?" Harry smirked. "Yeah."
"You three better get going then." Nat told them. "He'll take some of your house points away if you're late."
"He'll take them away just because he's James' son." Clint received a look from both females. "What? I'm just saying."
"What is that?!" Bucky tugged on Sirius' jacket sleeve.
"What's what?" Sirius turned towards the place Bucky was glancing in. "What are you looking at?"
"That!" Bucky pointed to a skeletal creature that looked much like a horse with black wings. "It's literally standing three feet away from us."
Sirius looked back and forth between Bucky and the empty spot, "Yes... right. Rainbow Dash, gotcha."
Bucky rolled his eyes and smacked Sirius upside the head, "Rainbow Dash is blue and has blue wings. Plus, she's not that bony."
"Thestrals." A soft voice spoke up from the two adults, making them turn around quickly.
"Thestrals? What are they exactly?" Bucky questioned the small pale-blonde.
"They're considered a breed of winged horse." Luna explained softly as she fed the Thestral a piece of meat. "Only those who have seen death can see them. It's widely believed that being able to see them is a bad omen, just because of their connection to death. But I don't think so."
Bucky watched as the small blonde fed the Thestral, Sirius looking between the two in confusion.
"I'm Luna Lovegood. It's nice to meet you."
Sirius and Bucky smiled softly at the innocent soft female.
"I think you know who I am..." Sirius shyly scratched the back of his neck.
Luna nodded, "Don't worry. I know you're innocent. I never thought you were a big threat before anyway."
Bucky stifled a laugh at the perplexed reaction of Sirius.
"Anyway," Bucky cleared his throat. "I'm Bucky."
Luna glanced at the longer hair man and gave him a small smile, "Nice to meet you, Mister."
"Bucky. You can just call me Bucky."
Luna nodded and took a look at Sirius, "What should I call you, Mr. Black?"
"Sirius is fine."
"We have a problem." James pulled Sirius and Bucky to the side once he noticed the two males walking back to the castle.
"What is it?"
"Apparently someone is inside the Hogwarts grounds." James told them, getting confused glimpses from the two.
"Couldn't it have been one of those kids from the other schools?" Bucky added.
James shook his head, "No. Dumblebee set some type of spell that would automatically contact him. Only the students plus the staff are allowed in and out without the spell setting off. The three of us are in charge of looking around the castle."
Bucky and Sirius glanced at one another before standing up straight.
"Then what the hell are we waiting for?"
The trio ran off, a bleached blond watching as they ran with curiosity in his eyes.
"Hey!" Bucky called out to the two marauders.
The trio were in the Forbidden Forest, apparently that's where the spell was set off. Their guard was up, you could easily tell by the way they would constantly look around with their wands raised in defense whenever they heard a small noise (apart from Bucky, who had a dagger and a pistol that he was able to sneak in).
"What's up?"
Bucky then crouched down and pointed at a set of footprints.
"These footprints aren't just of one person." Bucky commented. "This one's slightly larger than the other two and—"
Their eyes followed the imprinted footsteps.
"They're leading to the castle."
James was quick to act and ran off while following the footprints. Thankfully, they hadn't gotten far. They were still pretty far from the castle and the Black Lake. James easily pinned the tallest man down to the ground, blue eyes meeting hazel ones.
"Who the hell are you?" James growled, his knee on the man's back while his hands grasped his neck in a chokehold.
"Easy there, big guy." The male laughed softly. "I'm not here to hurt you."
"Yeah?" James tightened his grip on the male's neck. "Last time someone told me that I ended up tortured and brainwashed."
The female standing a few centimeters away let out a soft gasp and took a small step forward, "James?"
The brunette stiffened at the familiar voice and slowly turned around.
Emerald green eyes glistening with tears stared at the hazel eyes that she missed dearly. The hazel eyes of her husband.
