PEGGY'S POV (BACK TO WHEN SOMEONE RUNS INTO THE ARENA)
A figure runs... okay, more like stumbles into the arena. They head straight for Usnavi. Oh no bitch. I don't think so.
I go to move forward with Vanessa but the person is already riding forward towards me. They are extremely wobbly and look as if they're in a daze. Once the figure is close enough I finally see who it is.
It's Alex. Fuck.
He continues walking and stops in front of everyone, that is until his eyes roll backwards and his body slumps to the left. He hits the floor with a thud.
I jump off of Vanessa and am quickly at his side, then he starts shaking.
It's a horrible scene.
Everyone starts shouting, but it's just a faint hum against the screaming of my thoughts. Buddy runs across the arena and automatically starts licking Alex's cheek, doing anything he can to get a reaction out of him. When he doesn't gain one, he begins barking continuously. He's trying to get someone's attention.
Seconds feel like hours, and my thoughts feel as though they're screaming in my ears.
I am snapped back into reality when Buddy barks in my face, clearly trying to find someone to help.
"WASHINGTON!" I scream. It's the only thing I can think to do.
The arena assistants run to find Washington, whilst another calls an ambulance. Alex has stopped shaking at this point, and is just laying limply on the ground. My poor Lex.
John runs over, with tears streaming down his face. He immediately starts shaking Alex's shoulders, looking for a response. Buddy is still barking, everyone is panicking. The world feels as though it's closing in on me.
The only thing that stops the screaming in my head is when I see the small, delicate flower charm of Eponine's bracelets on Alex's wrist. In this moment I look up at his face, and I see the small, frightened, malnourished boy I first met when I came to camp. Not the respected young man I know now.
He's been through worse. I mean, he's survived a hurricane! His mother's sickness didn't take him, his brothers and cousins death didn't take him, Eponine's departure didn't take him. Neither will this.
After what feels like an eternity, but has probably only been a few minutes- an ambulance arrives. The paramedics run towards us, immediately kneeling on the other side of Alex.
"Excuse me, miss. I'm Kian Madani, can you explain what happened?" One asks me. But I can't bring myself to speak. The small boy I grew to love, the young man who has been to hell and back, the person that has held us all together through thick and thin, is laying unconscious on the ground in front of me. My brother.
I feel someone pulling my shoulder back, I turn my head and see that Hercules is looking down at me. He begins explaining to Kian what happened, whispering softly as if I would shatter if he spoke too loud.
I turn and sob into his shoulder, as he comes down to the floor and holds my head on his chest.
HERCULES POV (ooo look at that)
After explaining everything to Kian, I pull Peggy into a hug, gently holding her head against my chest. Laf is doing the same with John; they won't want to see Alex like this.
Washington jumps over the gate and sprint into the arena, soon followed by his wife. Washington skids to a stop next to Alex and the paramedics just as they load him into a stretcher.
"Please, he's my son- I need to know he's okay!" He begs, poor guy.
"I'm sorry sir, we can't say anything until we get him back to the hospital. We'll do all that we can." Kian replies. He has silent tears running down his cheeks. Damn. I've never seen the man look so helpless, and not in the 'I'm-so-in-love-and-everything's-great' kind of way. More in the 'I-need-to-help-my-son-but-I-don't-know-what's-going-on' kind of way.
"I'm telling you now, you're gonna tell me what's going on with my son or so help me god, I. will. Not. Hesitate." Martha growls, even when crying- she can be one scary woman.
The Washington's get into the ambulance with Alex and are soon gone.
John and Peggy are hysterical, Jefferson just kind of looks empty, Angelica and Eliza look mortified and everyone else is frozen in place. Afraid to move. Afraid to speak.

ALEX'S POV
(TiMe SkIp. Well, sort of.)I move slightly and feel something on my face. I go to move it off, but someone gently grabs my wrist before I can touch it.
"Leave it on, son." Da- Washington says. Damn.
I slowly open my eyes, looking around the room for any sign as to why I'm here. I'm obviously in a hospital- but that still doesn't answer my question.
A woman walks in, she has bright ginger hair, sharp cheekbones and a thin figure.
"Hello Mr. Hamilton I'm Jac Naylor. Do you know why you're here?" She asks as she shines a light in my eyes. Damn. That's bright.
(IF YOU GET WHO SHE IS CAN WE PLEASE BE FRIENDS?!)
I slowly shake my head and grunt as I try to take the mask off again.
"Okay. Well he seems a little disoriented but that is to be expected. I'll be back in about half an hour to check on him. A few nurses will come in regularly to make sure everything's okay. Don't let him take the mask off." With that she left, gently closing the door on her way out.
We sat in silence for a while, no one daring to break it.
"You scared us, son." Washington hums, looking at me with a look of concern painted on his face.
"What's going on, Tomcat? You know you could've told us if you felt bad." Martha says gently, moving forward to grab my hand.
"'M sorry. Didn't know t'was this bad." I mumbled sleepily, slowly losing the fight of staying conscious.
"Rest, son. We'll be here when you wake."
