NO ONES POV
The two friends sit beside the lake, sunlight reflecting softly off of the waters surface. No words are exchanged, instead they listen to the nature, taking in all that it has to hear.
The bubbly young girl shuffles closer to the distraught boy, allowing him to rest his head on her shoulder.
And during this moment, it appears that their personas have switched. No longer is the boy the strong, resilient, happy young man he grew to be, instead he is the one being comforted- by the usually young, rash, fast-paced girl. And all is okay.
For that moment.

PEGGYS POV
We sit by the lake for about 15 minutes before Alex moves to get his guitar. He begins to strum, singing softly.

You gave me the world that I wanted

"I've waited way too long to say
Everything you mean to me" he pauses, still strumming.

"I, I've carried this song in my mind
Listen, it's echoing in me
But I haven't helped you to hear it

I'm pretty sure it would kill me
If you didn't know the pieces of me are pieces of you"
"I've waited way too long to say
Everything you mean to me" he repeats, voice filling the air with a beautiful melody.
"In case you don't live forever, let me tell you now
I love you more than you'll ever wrap your head around
In case you don't live forever, let me tell you the truth
I'm everything that I am because of you"
"I have a hero whenever I need one
I just look up to you and I see one
I'm a man 'cause you taught me to be one" he sings strongly, drawing out the last word.
"In case you don't live forever, let me tell you now
I love you more than you'll ever wrap your head around
In case you don't live forever, let me tell you the truth
I'm everything that I am" He quietens again, voice only slightly filling the air.
"Whoa... whoa...
In case you don't live forever, let me tell you the truth
As long as I'm here as I am, so are you" He finishes.
And with the dying sunlight, rolling breeze and remains of beautiful melodies in the air, we sit, my head resting on his shoulder. Any thoughts of Laurens distinguished.
