Elena woke up feeling light headed. Her vision was a blur. Though, she could hear some whispers.

She shut her eyes and paid attention to the surrounding whispers.

“Is she the one?”

“Is she the special one?"

She was so confused and couldn’t tell what was going on. She slowly opened her eyes and readjusted herself to the brightness of the place.

Elena looked around the area and her eyes landed on a few people who were just staring at her curiously.

Their stares frightened her and she wondered if there was something on her face that they were looking at.

“Who are you?” Elena inquired with a bit of confidence. She did not desire to give the people the leverage that she was scared of them, even though that was indeed the case. She was practically trembling from the inside.

“Oh, the little human speaks,” one of the people who was observing her, said. He snickered and moved near her.

Elena subconsciously moved backward till her back was pressed against the wall.

“If you must know, we are what they call a DEMON.”

“What?” Elena shouted.

She was so taken aback that she could not comprehend what she just heard.

“You are a de-m-on?” she asked as she stuttered, wanting to verify what she just heard.

“Yes,” the demon replied back while smirking at her.

She was now freaking out as so many ideas ran through her mind. How could she be in a room full of demons? How was it even possible? Did demons exist?

As all these ideas keep going through her mind, she asked a minute later. “Is this a prank or something?” She still could believe that the people in the room were telling the truth about them being demons.

“The little human thinks we are joking,” the demon said.

“Do we look like jokers to you?” the demon asked, pointing at the different demons in the room.

“Well, we will soon find out how funny this joke is," the other demons burst into laughter as they left the room while Elena remained back. All alone.

Elena brought her knees close to her chest as she sobbed quietly.

Raguel was pacing around. He did not know why he felt restless but he knew something was not right. However, he could not point it out.

He thought about the way he lost his temper with Raphael. He truly felt guilty. He thought of contacting Raphael to express regret to him but he still could not bring himself to do it.

“Maybe it's the way I spoke to him. That is why I'm feeling this way.”

He sat down and linked his fingers together in an attempt to concentrate. However, he was finding it difficult.

“I'm not sure this thing I'm feeling is about Raphael. I sense someone is in trouble. But who? I simply don't understand anything these days,” Raguel muttered angrily. “Could it be that the heavens have heard my pleas and given me the job to be someone's guardian angel?"

“Yes, that has to be it,” Raguel concluded as he stood up, flashed his wings, and let it lead him to the person.

Elena was still sobbing quietly. No demon had made an appearance which she was thankful for, because she was most certainly scared.

She could not believe she was in a room with demons just a few miles away from her house.

“I wish I had listened to my mother. All these issues would not have cropped up,” she reprimanded herself.

Suddenly, she heard a loud sound which caught her interest. She looked around and noticed a man standing in the room wearing very bright clothes.

She gasped as she spotted his wings.

“This has to be a nightmare,” she said as she began feeling light headed.

She did not know what to think. She couldn't take it any longer and she fainted.

Raguel had his eyes on the human ever since he entered the room. There was something about her he could not place his finger on.

He continued to stare at her and he felt something in him changing.

“What is happening? Who is she?” he asked himself as he continued to stare at her intensely.

He was about to touch her when he felt something hit him right in the chest. His eyes widened as realization dawned on him. He continued looking at her in disbelief.

“How can this be possible?” he whispered. “She is my soulmate.”
