Raguel stared at Elena who had cuddled to his side all through the night. Not that he was complaining. He loved the fact that her body was pressed against his.

"I'm so fortunate to have a soulmate," Raguel said softly.

Elena stirred in her sleep, snapping Raguel from his thought. He looked at her with a smile on his face.

Elena knew there was a warm body with her on the bed. She was confused at first, making Raguel pay more attention to her, because he did not know what she was thinking.

The events from the other night played in her head, making her smile as she slowly opened her eyes.

"Good morning," Raguel said.

"Good morning," she greeted back with a warm smile on her face.

She simply wished she could stay cuddled to his side forever.

"Did you sleep well?" Raguel asked.

"Who would not sleep well with an Angel on her bed, who also happens to be my soulmate?" she thought to herself, however, as a substitute for speaking she nodded her head.

"I will go freshen up now," Elena announced as she stood up from the bed and gave her Angel an adorable smile before she disappeared into the bathroom.

Elena rested her back on the door and shook her head. "All these things happening just feels like a dream, and a desirable one at that. Well, aside from the demon part anyway," she said softly.

"Not only is an Angel sitting in my bedroom, but he is also my soulmate. This is insanely crazy. If someone had told me a few weeks ago that Angels and demons exist, I would have said that person was under the influence of alcohol or possibly mad."

She just smiled at herself, "I hope this is not a dream," Elena said as she stripped her clothes and turned on the shower.

Raguel was sitting quietly on the mattress, waiting for Elena to finish taking a bath. One might find it odd, but he was already missing her. Even though she was just a few meters away from him, he wanted her to be by his side at all points in time.

"I just can't wait to see her lovely face again," he said as he stood up from the bed and made his way to the window.

He stood there just staring at nothing in particular until he heard the bathroom door click open. He wasted no time as he quickly turned to look at Elena who was still standing at the doorway looking elegant and additionally looking at him with a smile.

Raguel did not want to rush anything between them. "We have the entire world to ourselves, but for now, I want to feel her skin pressed against mine because my skin feels so empty without hers,” he said to himself.

Making skin to skin contact between soulmates is very important and Raguel was aware of that.

So, without wasting any time, he moved closer to Elena and wrapped his hand around her. He did not even know if she desired the same thing. He was confused because she was still at first when he hugged her. He was about to pull back and express regret, however, at that moment, Elena wrapped her hands around him tightly and sighed softly.

Raguel was glad she did not pull away but he could not stop himself as he buried his nostril on her neck, and inhaled deeply.

After a while, they both pulled apart and settled on the bed.

"So, what are we going to do about the demons chasing me?" Elena asked.

Even though she enjoyed Raguel’s company, she still wanted to go back to her everyday routine. She didn’t prefer to continue living her life in fear.

"Don't worry about that for now. I will do everything I can to protect you. You are safe with me," Raguel said.

Elena smiled and blushed a little. Every time Raguel spoke like that, her heart always skipped a beat.

"Thank you," she stated softly.

"You do not have to thank me every time, Elena. You are my soulmate. I must protect you," Raguel said.

The way her name rolled off from his tongue, sent goosebumps all over her skin. She could not understand why it felt so correct, so proper coming from his mouth.

"I will continue to thank you, and always appreciate your efforts," Elena said.

Raguel smiled brightly at her as she smiled back at him.

"So, does the other Angel live on earth?" Elena asked all of a sudden.

"No, he does not live on Earth. He lives in Heaven but he always comes to visit me on Earth," Raguel explained.

Raguel desired to proceed with his explanation but Elena shuffled closer and his eyes fell on her lips. It simply looked as if time and the world stopped existing. He had a strong urge to taste the sweetness of her lips.

He leaned down slowly, just in case she needed to back off.
"Do you want this?" he whispered.

They were only inches apart. Elena leaned more instead of replying, their breaths getting heavy. They could feel each other's breath on their lips, so without hesitation, Raguel sealed their lips together.

Maybe time stopped when his lips met Elena, however, the flutter only intensified, Elena's heart pounded loudly in her chest. She could only focus on how gentle his lips felt towards her mouth, how addictively he invaded all her senses. It still wasn't clear if she was dreaming, but there was a raw feeling in the way his fingers curled around hers.

Elena kept her eyes open, sneaking a peek at her Angel every time she came back for air, simply to make sure this wasn't a product of her imagination.

She could not believe they just shared their first kiss.
