Raguel landed in Elena's room and found her sleeping peacefully on the bed. He smiled at her. He knew he had stayed away for long, but he needed to calm himself after all the information he acquired from Raphael.

He moved close to her and kissed her forehead softly. Elena stirred a little, however, she did not wake up.

Raguel moved from the bed and made his way to sit down on the chair.

He linked his fingers together, attempting to think about the Angels that conspired against him. Additionally, he was concerned about the demons and his soulmate. He was attempting to put the dots together, trying to discover the connection.

After a good 30 minutes of pondering, Raguel gave up. He stood up from the chair and made his way to the bed. He settled himself under the covers with his soulmate and wrapped his hands around her.

Elena stirred and shuffled closer to him.

“Raguel,” she whispered, attempting to open her eyes.

“Just go back to sleep. I will be right here when you wake up,” Raguel said, kissing her and maintaining his hold on her.

Elena sighed softly, gave up attempting to open her eyes, and drifted back to sleep.

An hour later, Elena stirred in her sleep. Eventually, she opened her eyes and was greeted with the sight of her Angel smiling at her.

“You took so long,” she muttered. “I was concerned about you because I was having mixed emotions from you. Your thoughts seemed wild,” she explained as she lifted her body from the bed and rested her head on the headboard. “I thought something happened to you” she finished as she kissed the corner of his mouth.

“I'm truly sorry for getting you worried,” Raguel ultimately spoke.

“What happened when you went to meet with Raphael?” Elena asked.

Raguel sighed softly before he spoke, “Raphael said two Angels in Heaven are responsible for the things going on. They were the ones who conspired against me. Raphael additionally said he walked into them speaking about demons. He said they looked like they were planning something with the demons. We simply don't know what they plan to do, so we just have to be careful.”

“Okay,” Elena said; “Were you friends with those Angels that conspired against you?” she asked.

Raguel laughed, “I will not truly call them friends. We were more of acquaintances,” Raguel said.

“Okay,” Elena said as she rested her head on Raguel's shoulder.

Raphael was looking everywhere for Samael until he spotted him about to make his way out of Heaven. It was a rare sight to see Samael leaving Heaven, however, he did not put a lot of thought into it as he walked quickly to catch up with Samael.

“Hey!” Raphael called out quickly, making Samael stop in his tracks. He turned and gave Raphael a small smile.

“Hey! Is there something you want?” Samael asked.

“Yes,” Raphael said, moving nearer to Samael to keep the Angels from eavesdropping on their conversation.

“Do you know that Zerachiel and Remiel were responsible for what happened to Raguel?” Raphael requested.

“I'm not shocked to hear this. I knew there was something up with those two,” Samael responded.

“Do you know something happening that I don't know?” Raphael asked as he gave Samael a pleading look. He wished to know what was going on.

“All I know is, the demons like Zerachiel and Remiel know something about Raguel and his soulmate. Perhaps their bond is special,” Samael paused for a while before he spoke again. “I remember you telling me you are certain she was not completely human. Maybe the demons know that and being bonded to an Angel might be a threat to them. Hence, they wanted to find her before Raguel did.

“But as for those two Angels, I do not know what their deal is with the demons. I don't know why they are helping them in carrying out their task,” Samael concluded.

Raphael listened attentively, and tried to put all the dots together, and discovered it genuinely made sense seeing that they virtually did not know what Elena was at the moment.

“Will you assist us in finding out what is truly going on?” Raphael asked.

“No, I do not desire to get involved with all these things. I have my issues going on right now and I want to deal with them. I'm sorry, I can’t help,” Samael replied.

Raphael looked at his friend. When he was speaking, he could see that there was a hint of worry on his face as if something was bothering him.

“Are you all right Samael?” Raphael asked gently with concern for his friend.

“I'm fine Raphael,” Samael quickly responded.

“Do you want to discuss what is bothering you?” Raphael asked, silently praying his friend would tell him because he knew Samael could be very secretive about his problems.

“I do not want to talk about it,” Samael said. “I need to go now. Once again, I'm sorry that I cannot help you. Do take care of yourself,” he added before he made his way out of Heaven.

Raphael stood there for a while after Samael left.

“What kind of problem is Samael facing?” Raphael whispered to himself. “I simply hope that he will be okay,” he sighed softly and left too.

“I simply hope that he will be okay,” he sighed softly and left too
