He laid there smiling up at me "I would love to do that every single day of my life!"
I slowly climbed off of him and laid beside him on the bed as he traced his fingers up and down my arm.
"That was the best sex I have ever had, but I just don't think I'm ready for " I began as he cut me off.
"I know you're not ready for a relationship right now Averleigh! But I know that I felt more just now than a typical hook up fuck, and I'm pretty sure you felt it too!" He said.

Shit he was right. Everything about what just happened felt more right than any other time in my life! But its not fair to him to drag him into my drama, and what about my kids? My thoughts began to overwhelm me and spencer seemed to pick up on my serious face.

"Listen," He said "I'm not going to rush you! You've been through a lot, and I get that you have other responsibilities, I'm just saying that when the time comes that you're ready to start dating again, I promise I'll be the first in line. I also want you to know that I don't want us to be strangers until then. You may not be ready to date and that is fine, but we can still talk. I feel like you probably need someone to talk too, just like I do"

He's seriously the best man in the world! What did I do to deserve this? But It's not fair to him to keep him waiting for me. I mean Chris said it himself. I'm Undateable. No one wants to be stuck with a single mother of 3 kids, who is never home! Damn I need to say something, but what do I even say to that!

"I don't want to lead you on, and I don't want you to miss out on dating, but I would also really like that! I feel safe with you Spencer." I said as he pulled me close to him.
"I really mean it Averleigh. I want to be there for you in anyway I can!"
He kissed my forehead and began running his hand up and down my back. I suddenly felt exhausted and my eyes fluttered closed. The events of the day taking its toll on me.

When I woke up, the other side of the bed was empty. I sighed and rolled over to see a folded note on the night stand, as well as a single rose in a glass vase.
"Averleigh,
Last night was the best night of my life so far. I hate to leave without saying goodbye, but you looked like you needed the sleep. I had to leave for work, but there is breakfast downstairs waiting on you when you get up! My number is already in your phone now, so call me if you need me okay?
Love Spencer"

He put love on the bottom of the card?
I am definitely reading into it way too much, everyone signs their cards with love. Even still my heart swelled with an unknown feeling of being wanted, truly wanted by someone else. I slowly got up and walked downstairs to the kitchen. As promised Spencer had left breakfast on the counter for me with another note.

"Forgot to tell you to lock up when you leave? This is the key for the door, and If you call the local taxi service when you're ready I have already paid to get you home! I hope you have a really good day"

I stood in the kitchen smiling at myself like a fool. In just a few days he had already made me feel more than Chris. I quickly ate the food he left me, apparently starving from last night, and then walked back upstairs to get dressed. I would have to wait until I got home to shower and change, but since I have time off I guess a bubble bath at home won't be so bad.

I went back downstairs and grabbed the key from the counter before calling the taxi service. Within ten minutes the taxi pulled up and I locked his house.
Shit! what am I supposed to do with his key?
He's at work so I doubt he will answer, plus this isn't an emergency. I could leave it under the mat? Or I could keep it so that I have a reason to see him again?

I slipped the key into my bag and climbed into the back of the taxi. I best hold onto it so no one breaks into his house.

A short while later I arrived back at my house. I went upstairs and took a long relaxing bath, before getting out and putting on a summer dress. Then I took out my phone and called Bailey. She answers after a few rings.

"Hey girl?"
"Hey, I was going to come pick up the kids If that's okay?" I said.
"That's fine, you know you don't have to ask to come over, although I don't think they are going to leave without a fight, Zac has been spoiling them, in fact all the kids are in the yard with him now attempting to build a tree house."
"Really? Well maybe we can catch up a little while they work."
"Sure, I'll see you soon!"
"See you soon, and thanks by the way."
"Don't be silly, you and the kids are welcome whenever, now get your butt over here!" She laughed before hanging up the phone.
