He didn't take his eyes off me, he was staring at me like I asked something stupid while I was sitting beside him staring nowhere and waiting for his response.

Magkapitbahay lang kami dati at dahil nga ako pa lang mag-isang anak dati ay wala akong nakakalaro kun 'di ang sarili ko lang. Then I met him, he was also alone, walang batang gustong makipaglaro sa kaniya kasi masungit siya parang pasan pasan lagi ng kilay niya ang mundo kasi lagi itong magkasalubong.

We became closer as days passed by. Tuwing umaga naglalaro kami sa garden nila or minsan sa bahay namin, until one day I woke up and went to their house but he wasn't there anymore. Iyak ako nang iyak non kasi siya nga lang ang kaibigan ko tapos iiwan niya pa ako.

Until now I'm still carrying the pain that he caused years ago.

"I told my mom that I'll say goodbye first before we leave but you were still asleep, and I don't wanna wake you up," he paused and let out a heavy sigh. "We went to Europe because my grandma was sick, 2 years after that she died. Doon na kami nanirahan and I told myself na babalikan kita. And I did, when you were on your 10th grade, remember the tulip you received with a sticky note saying 'I'll come back for you'? It was from me," he added and stared back at me.

Parang umurong ang dila ko. Andami kong gustong sabihin sa kaniya pero walang kahit anong lumalabas sa bibig ko. Napatitig ako sa kaniya. God how I missed this guy! There's someone inside me who keeps on telling me to hug him but someone's also stopping me from doing it.

"I think I need to go back inside already," aalis na sana akopero bigla niyang hinawakan ang palapulsuhan ko.

"I have something for you," lumipat siya sa harapan ko and showed me a box. It was the necklace that he gave me last students day. "You might be wondering why I have this. It's because I sneaked into your room earlier before I barged the party, heh" he chuckled.

Ayaw maalis ng tingin ko sa kaniya. He's so sexy! 

God Loraine ano ba 'yang iniisip mo?! You're not that kind of person!

"Can I put this on you?" He gently asked and I just nodded in response.

"Please don't take this off, Mariane," he uttered and walked away. I was left there standing watching him leave, again.

Bumalik na rin ako agad sa loob para makipag kwentuhan sa mga bisita. It's my birthday I should be enjoying it! 

After the party isa-isa na ring nagsiuwian ang mga bisita kasi may exam pa kinabukasan. Tonight was a blast! I enjoyed opening their gifts, ang gaganda. I thanked Andeng and Mariz a lot because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be celebrating my birthday this year. 

God gave me two of the most amazing persons in the world and I couldn't ask for more. Having them is the biggest gift I ever received. 

The next day I had a really great morning. I woke up early and cooked breakfast. Eggs, pancake, bacon and milk. After cooking I woke them up para sabay na kaming kumain tatlo...well apat kasi kasama si Yaya Bennie. Nagalit pa sila kasi ang aga raw masyado, eh kalsalanan ko bang puno ng positive vibes ang umaga ko!?

"Kakain na nga lang kayo antagal niyo pang bumangon!" Sigaw ko sa kanila nang makababa sila. Kusot kusot pa nila ang mga mata nila.
