Flu

Tomorrow is Harriet's birthday. Catherine and April spent the day together to prepare for Harriet's birthday. "Honey, the two of you should go home, so you can rest" Catherine suggested. "Are you sure?" April asked, "Yes, yes" Catherine replied. Harriet kissed her grandma goodbye and went home.

April and Harriet fell asleep. April woke up to pee, She kissed Harriet before going to the bathroom when she felt that Harriet was hot. She quickly gets the thermometer to check. After a while, the thermometer reads that Harriet has a fever. April calls Jackson immediately.
*On the phone*
J: April.
A: Where are you?
J: I am in the parking lot.
A: hospital? or ..
J: of our place, why?
A: Harriet's sick. I don't think that we can have her party tomorrow.
J: I will be right over.
*hangs up*

Shortly, Jackson knocked on the door. April opened the door and ran towards the bathroom, after a while April came out "Sorry, I forgot that I needed to pee. I just remembered when I saw you" April chuckles softly. "what happened?" Jackson asked. "We spent the day with Catherine, then we went home and fell asleep. When I woke up she had a fever" April says worriedly. "We should call Karev or should we go to the hospital?" April added. "Let's go to the hospital," Jackson says. Quickly, they went to the hospital.

At the hospital, Karev gave a prescription. "It looks like we need to cancel your party, little girl," Karev says, talking to Harriet. April smiled weakly. Jackson came back in, "What did your mom say?" April asked, "She's worried. She cancelled everything. She's gonna visit tomorrow" Jackson replied. "We can take her home, she doesn't need to stay," April says. "Okay, we should go home. So Harriet can get some rest" Jackson suggested.

They are inside Jackson's car. "Are you okay?" Jackson asked, "Yes, I just, I got scared. I can't help thinking the worst" April replied. "She's gonna be okay" Jackson reassures, holding April's hand. "I will not go to work tomorrow, I will take care of Harriet" April says, "Sure, I'll tell Bailey and Hunt" Jackson replied.

After three days, Harriet got better. Jackson stays most of the time in April's place and goes back home if he'll sleep. After a week, Harriet is fully recovered, She stays with her babysitter as April goes back to work. Throughout the day, April feels light headed and nauseous, But she is shrugging it off. After attending to one of the patients in the E.R. she stood up and walked across the room then she passed out. Jo saw her "We need a gurney here!" Jo shouts. Few moments later, April woke up and saw Jackson and Jo standing in front of her. "I passed out" April says, "Probably because I didn't eat" April added. "You have fever" Jo says, "Probably Harriet has passed it to you", "No surgeries and Go home, Bailey's orders" Jo says firmly. "I have other patients," Jo added. Jo walked away. "I guess you got Harriet tonight?" April says, "I need sleep" April added. "I am gonna drive you home, Karev just needs me for a consult" Jackson says. Brook heard their conversation, "I don't mean to eavesdrop, but I can take her home, I don't have incoming surgeries" Brooks offered. "I-uh" Jackson hesitated. "It's alright," April tells Jackson.

Mason drove April home. "Are you okay?" Mason asked, "a little light headed" April says weakly, "Do you have your prescriptions?" Mason asked, "Yes, it's in my bag. I think" April says. They went inside her place, "nice place" Mason compliments, "Thank you, Mason. I will sleep now, you can let yourself out" April said, slurry. "Yes," Mason answered. Mason called delivery and ordered soup. When the soup came, he left and went to the hospital.

Mason arrived at the hospital and immediately got paged. "What do we have?" Brooks asked, "32, male, got burned by a stove" The intern replied. After a few moments, Jackson appeared. "You need help?" Jackson asked, "Bed 4, Avery" Hunt interjects, "Be right there! How's April?" Jackson asked, "She was sleeping when I left" Brooks replied, "Thanks, man" Jackson replied, Brooks nods and smiles. "The rumors are true, you really like Dr. Kepner" The intern teases. Brooks looked up, "You know, I cannot blame you, that Doctor is badass" The intern added. "We have a patient," Brooks replied. The intern started to work.

Meanwhile, In April's apartment. April woke up and found the paper bag on the center table. She gets it and found a note:
Have this before taking your meds

April smiled and had the soup, drank her meds and went back to sleep.

After sometime, someone knocks on the door. April got up slowly and opened the door, "Hey, Jackson. Where's Harriet" April asked, "In her room with the nanny" Jackson replied, "She'll stay?" April asked, "Yes, just until you get better" Jackson replied. "Did you eat?" Jackson asked, "I had soup" April replied, "Mason, had it delivered or bought it, I don't know" April blubbered. "You need to have some dinner," Jackson said, "You didn't have to," April replied, lying down. "You need this, eat this and I'll be out of your hair", April sat up and gagged, she ran quickly toward the sink and vomited. Jackson walked towards the sink "Are you okay?" Jacskon asked, patting April's back. April washes her face and mouth, "Oh my God" April exhales, "Let's sit" Jackson helped April to walk. "Jackson, you should go, I can handle myself. Go bond with Harriet" April insisted, "Harriet has a nanny, you don't" Jacskon replied. April sat on the couch and Jackson sat across the table. April looked at Jackson intently "Really, you don't have to do this" April remarks, Jackson prepares the food, "Go eat" Jackson orders, April smiles to Jackson, "Thank you", Jackson smiled "That's what I am waiting for" Jackson laughs. "Tell me how your day went" April asked, "Alex and I have surgery tomorrow, There's two patients who got burned by their stove. It's a typical day" Jackson shared, "Harriet had an amazing day, they went to the park" Jackson added, "That's great" April stretches and lies down. "Go on, continue" April encourages, closing her eyes. Jackson stopped and looked at April. "Jackson, I can feel you staring at me, don't do that, it's creepy" April says. "Anyway, I can tell Dr. Brooks likes you huh?" Jackson asked, April snores loudly. "Okay, that's my cue. Good night" Jackson whispers. Jackson let himself out.

After a few days, April got better and was able to go back to work. April was drinking coffee in the attendings' lounge when Bailey came in, "Kepner, ready to go back to work?" Bailey asked, "Yes, I can't wait to see the inside of an O.R." April replies, "Scrubbed in with me" Bailey says, "Now?" April asked, "No, tomorrow. Of course now, Kepner" Bailey says, rolling her eyes. "Jeez! Calm down" April says while walking past Bailey.
