Shared a same heart break

The Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital has been on the top of the most effective and efficient care assistance in the country. However, for the past months, it seems like the doctors, nurses, and medical staff have become more relaxed. As the chief of surgery, Bailey called a meeting for the boards to discuss the set back of the hospital. "I asked this meeting because we are in the Top 10 of Top hospitals in the country. What's that tell you?" Bailey asked, with the usual sass in his voice. "that-that we are doing good" Meredith replied, "Huh! You'll think that, but we are in the top 5 for as long as I remember" Bailey answered, "We need to do something people. Advance on research, Let's take one extra mile to care and assist patience" Bailey, suggested. "This is a big step back" Bailey added, "I observed that we lack communication, we lack coordination, we need to work on this. I need suggestions to address this problem" Bailey continues. "How about team building?" Jackson suggested, "Let's split the attendings, nurses, residents, and interns into two. So we can work on shifts" Jackson continued, "We can pitch the idea to HR, so they can design a great program for team building" Owen added. "Okay, okay! I will talk to the HR about this. for now, operate and make Grey Sloan better!" Bailey says.

Everyone got up and went on their way. Meredith got paged by April in the pit. "Kepner, you page?" Meredith asked, "Dr. Schmitt, report" April asked, Dr. Schmitt was able to present the case, "Okay, good. book an O.R." Meredith replied. "You got this, Grey?" April asked, "Yes, go ahead" Meredith replied.

The next morning, Bailey called a quick meeting. Bailey is standing on the stairs. "Good morning, everyone" Bailey begins, "As you all know we have a little set back on our position in top hospitals in the country, to amend this challenge. We proposed to have a team building for all medical employees. This is to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. We cannot do this alone, we have to cooperate on this program. Teams and schedules will be posted shortly. Thank you" Bailed ends.

After a week
The team building is located in a wonderful rest house. The first group of doctors, nurses, and medical employees arrived. "Good morning, everyone! Hi, I am Leila. I am going to be your coordinator for the whole three days. Please register first to get your keys to your rooms. Please know that in one room there will be two to three people. The married couples, you have your own" Leila announced. "Jo, congrats! it's your second honeymoon" April teases, and walks toward the register table. April signs and got room 3, "What's your rooms?" April asked, "Mer and I are roommates" Maggie replied, "Link and I will share a room" Ameila says, "I forgot your married" April says, "What's your room?" Jackson asked April, "three, I think I have the room on my own" April replied, "Hey, how come your room three too?" Mason asked, "What do you mean too? You have room three?" April asked, "That can't be right" April added, April went to the coordinator, "Excuse me, I think there's a mix up with the rooms, My roommate is a guy?" April asked, "What's the name?" Leila asked, "Mason Brooks and April Kepner" April replied, "Oh! We thought Mason was a girl" Leila says, "We'll change this, hold on" Leila assures. Meanwhile, all of the doctors including Jacskon settled down in their rooms.

After a few minutes, Jo came down. "You guys, still here?" Jo asked, "There is no room available for us to be separated," Mason informs, "Dr. Kepner, is there any chance that you are married? not necessarily with Dr. Brooks", Leila asked jokingly "No, I am not." April says, "You know what, It's okay" April dismisses. "I assumed we have different beds?" April asked, "Yes", "Okay, Thank you. Leila" April says. "can you be in one room?" Jo asked, "It's either that or one of us will sleep in the living area" April says, "Don't worry, Wilson I'm a gentleman" Mason kids. "I don't wanna bother everyone just to move me to a room that is not available" April says, "Besides, we tried" April added. Mason and April settle down in their room. April lies down, "Are you not gonna unpack" Mason asked, "I will" April says. "just give me a moment" April added, "You know, if we think about it. It's like we are on a 3-day date" Mason laughs, April laughs. Someone knocks on the door and opens it, "They are calling everyone" Jo informs.

Everyone is gathered in the meeting hall for orientation. "April, I heard you and Mason are in the same room?" Meredith asked, "Yup, they thought Mason is a girl" April whispers, "Congrats! you just got married" Jo teases, April laughs sarcastically. Leila introduces the speaker for the first activity of the day. After the activity, they all went to the dining area to eat lunch. Jo, Alex, April, Meredith, Jackson, Bailey, Maggie, Mason, Amelia, Link, and Amelia are on the same table. April phone rang, it's Catherine. "Jackson, you wanna talk to Harriet?" April asked, Jacskon and April stood up and went by the door to talk to Harriet. "Hey!" April greeted, "Hi! Catherine" April added, "Harriet misses the both of you, I know you are busy" Catherine says, "Oh! no no, we miss Harriet too" April says, "Hi, baby" Jackson greeted, "How are you?" Jackson asked. Harriet showed her new toy "Daddy look at this, grandma bought it for me" Harriet shared, "Mommy, grandma said I can eat the cupcake she bought, Can I?" Harriet asked, "Sure, sweetie. just don't eat it too late" April says, "When are you coming home?" Harriet asked, "in three days. sweetheart, the next thing you know we're there already" April says. "Mommy and Daddy should go. be a good girl to grandma okay?" Jackson tells Harriet. Harriet nods. "Bye bye" Jackson and April say in unison, waving.

Jackson and April went back to their table. "How's Harriet?" Meredith asked, "She misses us" Jackson replied, "How's your kids?" April asked, Meredith, they are with their nanny" Meredith replied.

Later that night. All of the medical employees are in their room. April just went out of the bathroom and went straight to her bed. April keeps on turning on her bed, "Can't sleep too?" Mason asked, "Yeah" April says sitting up. Mason sits up and turns on the bedside lamp. "Why don't you go out with me?" Mason asked out of the blue. April was surprised. "Mason, I don't know why you like to go out with me. I am divorced, TWICE, what does that tell you?" April says, "That your ex-husbands are jerks" Mason laughs. "Why did you guys get divorced anyway?" Mason asked, "You didn't need to answer that if you don't want to. I-I'm just curious" Mason added, "It's a long story but the short version is Matthew cheated on me. Jackson and I lost a son and I went away, when I came back he wanted to get divorce" April shared, "You had a son?" Mason asked, "Yeah, He's name is Samuel" April smiled with tears in her eyes. "We should sleep," April says, lying down. Mason turns off the bedside lamp and lies down. "I had a son too. He died too. My girlfriend and I broke up and I went to Jordan" Mason shared.

Next morning, All of the participants are having their breakfast. Mason woke up, got dressed, and went straight to the dining area. He sat on a chair, "Good morning" Meredith greeted, "I'm guessing you didn't sleep well" Amelia assumes, "We sleep late" Mason says, "Even April?" Jo asked, Mason nods, "Where's April?" Jackson asked, "She's not there when I woke" Mason replied, "Hi" April greeted, "Where have you been, Kepner?" Bailey asked, "I went for a run" April replied, "this place is huge" April says, "Are we allowed to run?" Meredith asked, "I don't, but I saw Hunt running too, So.." April shrugs. "Hi, everyone! we have 15 minutes left, so please finish your food and be in the activity area" Leila announced.

The day passed by fast, everyone seemed to be motivated to go back to work. There are new relationships formed, there are relationships that are strengthened with the help of activities, games, and processing of the Human Resource personnel. Meanwhile, at the dining area, while everyone were enjoying their meal "Hello again, everyone" Leila greeted, "How's the dinner?" Leila asked, "this is actually good" April talks while she still has food in her mouth, "So, we are done on the program of the team building. Tomorrow is a treat for all of you. There is a beach nearby that you can guys check out tomorrow!" Everyone clap and cheer, "But please know that we are living by 8 in the evening. Thank you" Leila announced, "We should check it out!" Link suggested, "Yeah, yeah!" Mason agreed, "That would be fun" Amelia supports. "I guess" Meredith and Maggie said asynchronously, "S-sure" April and Jackson say.

The next morning. They all went to the beach. "Wow!" Amelia gasps, "I know, right" Jo says, "Harriet will love it here" April says to Jackson "Yeah?" Jackson smiled, "Bar?" Link asked, "A-huh" Mason replied. They all walked toward the bar. "It's kinda windy," Maggie says. "It's not safe to swim," Mason points out. April is standing leaning her back on the bar, sipping her drink "I think those kids should not be there" April says, "Where's the lifeguard?" Jo asked, "April it looks like the kid is drowning" Jo whispers "Oh my God! The kid's drowning" April shouts and runs. All of the doctors ran. Mason swims toward the kid. After a while, He was able to get the kid. Mason did CPR while Amelia called 911.

On their way home, "Brooks, I didn't know you swim" Meredith says, "Yeah, that's why I scholarship in Harvard" Mason replied, "No shit" Alex replied, "Nice saved" Link says.
