T.W: mental/physical abuse, swearing and death/blood
=~•Roman's POV•~=
I was getting dressed like any normal person for school, when the rat of a brother can bursting into my room. He could have at least knocked like come on.
"I guess privacy doesn't exist," I groaned and turned to face him, only to see him in a... panic? That's odd.
"ROMAN!" He practically yelled, before he dropped his voice into a whisper, "mum and dad are home. And they are pissed." Oh shit! They're always pissed but when Remus is even worried, something's wrong. I quickly removed the makeup I was doing before and ruined my hair. Looking like that would be way too risky and I do not need to be kicked out like Christine. Christine... we will find her and stop the dastardly villain.

We slowly made our way downstairs, mentally preparing to be yelled at for something we didn't do. The kitchen door was opened and I heard my father yelling at, who I can only guess is, mother. Mother actually accepts those in the LGBTQ+ community and father hates us. He will always try to change her opinion and I really wish he would just drop dead. Woah that's a dark thought about your own father. There's a thing though, I remember killing the banana-conda's adopted dad but he didn't seem phased. Maybe he knows what abuse is like. Heh I did him a favour then but where does he live now? We walked into the room and father didn't even notice our presence. I walked past them to try and take a bit of money for food. When they're home, me and Remus do not dare eat in the house. Last time one of us did, we were forced to sick it up, cause were supposedly to fat. Bullshit though.

I grabbed the money and I pulled Remus out the room. He maybe annoying as shit but he is still my brother and being 10 minutes older, I have to be the best older brother I can. It's my duty. We both left the house without a second thought, in complete silence. The walk always dragged on when we left the house earlier. It was so odd but I guess it's fine. Maybe it's because Remus never talks or make crude jokes. He has it worse in our family and I'm not even gonna try and play the victim. He always got the rough end of the stick and his 'jokes' are his way of escaping reality.

The gate to Spring Hill High came into view and I saw from far off teach talking to the emo and the snake. They seem to be quite good friends and all of them are quite smart. I'm not gonna lie when I say I'm not the brightest bulb in the box but I pass all my classes apart from maths. We were edging closer to the school when I felt a weight on my back. I turned my head, only to see my beautiful boyfriend clinging to me like a sloth. He always does this when he wants attention and that's probably how we became significant others (as Logan says). We are both clingy and always crave love. Remus looked over, before wagging his eyebrows at me. There's the normal Remus. Always thinking I'll do the bird and the bees. I shook my head from that thought and walked over to Logan and the other two.

When I came closer, I could make out a heated debate about something between Virgil and Logan. Reptilian Rapscallion looked done with them while emo was leaning on his head. When teach saw us he began to walk to the school door, leaving the others.
"Bitch you know I'm right! That's why you left!" Virgil yelled after him, removing his arm from Janus' head. In return, Logan flipped him off without turning around. Remus couldn't control his 'laughter' (it was more of a cackle) and he soon burst like a dam. People turned to face him before brushing it off as his psychotic nature. Patton, however, was biting his lip so he wouldn't yell at Virgil. I could just make out the sound of the bell, alerting us to being late. I really don't need the school phoning my parents. Remus would probably get the worse end and I wouldn't be able to do shit. I shook of the thoughts that ran through my head, before darting into school.

I entered my homeroom class a minute late and obviously I was seen. The teacher stared at me with a grimace on her face. I'm not surprised she got divorced.
"What are you doing late?" She asked lowly. She was about 50 years old and looked like the exact portrayal of a Karen. I'm sure you can all imagine what she looks like now, without me going into a full depth explanation.
"Well," she spoke with the voice that can only be described as nails on a chalk board.
"I was late due to my... bus! Yeah my bus was late," I lied, hoping no one would point out that I don't take the bus. She believed it until the kid that would remind the teacher about homework spoke up. This asshole's gonna get me and my brother beat up.
"Actually, the bus was very early today," he spoke with a raspy voice and a smug look on his face. Ima bout to beat a bitch.

"I shall be contacting your parents about this! A weeks detention for you," she yelled with her face turning red. I was only late! This is shit. I walked over to my chair before mumbling random incoherent swear words under my breath. Today was gonna be a long one. The bell soon rang and I left the room, slowly. I wasn't in a rush, today couldn't possibly get worse.

It just got worse. I was looking around the cafeteria when I saw Kaylaiy, the school hoe, talking to Pat. This bitch ain't gonna make my boyfriend uncomfortable. I walked over before punching the whore. Patton looked thankful but still scolded me for my reaction. My parents are gonna kill me and then dance on my grave for punching her. The whole cafeteria was watching and I could hear a group of laughs erupt behind me. I turned my head, only to be greeted by the idiots I have to work with laughing at the scene. That was until I felt someone sucker punch the back of my head. The laughing stopped and Remus rose from his seat. When our father finds out about this, we're dead. I looked to see Noah standing awkwardly behind me, with his hands in a fighting position. That was before Remus punched the shot out of the dick head. Only time I allowed him too beat someone up.

"ROMAN AND REMUS KINGSLEY! GO TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE!" A teacher yelled across the canteen. Obviously we get told off and not the kid who sucker punched me. We both left the cafeteria while the others just watched. That was until Janus yelled something.
"MISS! Shouldn't Noah go as well, he did sucker punch Roman." Murmurs of agreement spread around the room, before the teacher agreed. He got up off the ground and walked with us, staying as far away as possible from Remus. When we arrived we got scolded like every time you go to the office. It went by quick and I was given another weeks detention.

The rest of the school day flew by but I was now feeling sick. I know the teacher contacted my parents and we were about to get quite bruised. I just really hoped that he was out or something. It's odd to think that he was a hero. He did work for J's father though and I don't believe they are very good. Maybe the city was blind to who the heroes were. Maybe that's why the villains went underground. I was thinking of different ideas when we got home. I looked over too Remus, who had not said a single thing too me on the way home, and saw him basically shaking. The door was ajar which was odd but I brushed it off to us leaving it like that. We entered the house. It was quiet. Suspiciously quiet. No yelling. No crying. Remus was quick to look around. 2 minutes passed by. That was when I heard one of Remus' cackles. I walked over to where I heard it. I've lived with him for so long that I know when a laugh means 'hey look at this'.

Death scene beginning
I entered the kitchen too see a sight I really didn't need too. The room smelled of iron and was covered in the clogged red substance. It was dripping out of my father's side and dampening his clothes. The wound was one made by a knife. One that was now no longer at the scene. His face was pale and showed his last moments like a movie screen. His eyes were bulged wide with his mouth agape. His hand were at his side, trying to stop the flow. The only clue to who could be blamed for this was a note, much like the one Virgil's parents texted him. It was written in a red ink (well I think it was ink) explaining why he died. It was a whole lot of gibberish but one thing stood out too me.
'For trying to put a stop to my plan.'
I looked down at the ex-hero then to Remus, who was beginning to clean the room. He was doing a quite good job and it wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't his first time. I slid the note in my pocket before trying to help out Remus with disposing this bloody murder.

Death scene finished

The body was soon to be buried in the garden. Mother was at work when we told her about all this. She was crying but it didn't seem genuine. Not like she was exposing herself to be the murderer but more of a happy cry. I would be happy as well if my husband, who beat me and my kids up, had just died randomly.

The house seemed peaceful for once and all my fears from today washed away. Maybe when we find Christine, she can come back home. My hopes were lifted and I wanted to reunite with her more. Evening turned to night and I was quick to go a bed. Today was eventful and fear ridden but now I felt like I could sleep in peace for once. My eyes soon became heavy and I fell into a deep, undisturbed sleep.
