T.W: swearing

The morning came and the cold November air whisked through open curtains and windows. This woke up Christine, who had finally gotten good sleep, and she got up off the bed, sleepily. She rubbed her eyes thoroughly until all she could see were colourful blobs. Stumbling over her feet, she tripped over towards the windows and locked them tightly, hoping too keep in the warmth. Then she looked over towards the oak door at the end of the room. She walked out and was flabbergasted.

The hall was lit with lights of every colour. A smell of a certain season. She looked at a calendar down the hall and saw it was the 27th (probably not right but whatever) of November. Christmas was close by and she knew it. The door she had just walked through, had its own little wreath. That also applied for the room the 4 other heroes were. She walked towards their door and entered, without even a knock.

In the room was Janus and V playing uno, with Janus getting pissed at how he was losing. Remus and Logan were both still asleep, in separate beds but the two beds were pushed closer. They were single beds. Christine smirked, getting ready to scare all 4 of them. She super ran past them in a blur and hid behind the bed V and Janus were sitting on. As soon as V was about to place his final card, she jumped on the bed, scaring the living shit out of Janus. He sprung over the other side near Virgil, turning into the familiar hognose snake.

"Sss~hit!" Janus hissed at the young girl, earning a hat slap by Virgil.
"Watch your fucking language around children," he whispered in a stupid tone. This earned a chuckle from Christine and a disapproving click of a tongue from the door frame. At that door frame was Patton, his hair curling upwards and in a mess. His glasses were sat wonkily on his face, a playful frown on his lips.
"No swearing," Pat scolded, getting a smirk from the now awake nerd and crackhead.
"Yeah, no swearing in front of the child," Christine added. This made both V and Janus hiss at her. Literally hiss.

"Are we just gonna ignore- okay?" Roman began before everyone left the room, leaving him. They walked their way down the steep steps, tripping over them basically. In the room which they entered, was filled with decorations galore. None being tacky or even poorly kept. It was weird for them to think that the ex-villains, the ones that used to terrorise the city, were huge Christmas fans. In the room was the two of them playing a Christmas monopoly, with Eccentric winning.
"How the fuck can you run a monopoly game but have zero clue on how to run a business?!" Ophidian asked aloud but was genuinely surprised at how well she played.
"Well, my reptilian friend, you are good at betting and I'm good at stealing money," she said with much confidence.

It was at that moment, the two ex-villains noticed the younger heroes' presence. They stood up quickly, with happy smiles on their faces.
"Good morning. Are you guys ready to go back home!" Ophidian asked with a tired voice.
"Have we already started to bore you?" V asked in mock offence. Janus took of his hat and bowed his head sorrowfully and this made the others chuckle.
"How could my own father betray me? I'm wounded upon repair," He said, clutching his fist and bringing it up to his neck, while looking away. The two adults laughed and began picking up their coats. The others did the same, laughing at jokes until Logan realised something.

"Why are the others in seemingly good health?" he asked the adults in front. They just smiled as Ophidian pulled out different medical equipment and liquids from under the desk.
"You didn't honestly believe I only had that knocking out chemical, surely?" Ophidian explained, chuckling at himself. It would be weird to only have one strong and powerful chemical.

In a few minutes, the heroes had bought train tickets back to the heart of the city. The ride was quick and full of laughter. It was about 15 minutes and all were grateful for that. The train soon began to stop, allowing them all too exit the carriage. Everyone began to say their goodbyes and Remus, once again, kissed Lo's cheek. This shocked Patton, Roman and Christine.
"Hold up, my rat brother got a significant other, before me!" Christine stated, shocked out of her mind. When she said rat, the rat that was once on Remus' shoulder, scurried out of a pocket in his jacket.

Christine had decided to go with Remus and Roman, leaving Janus and Virgil alone to go home. Logan along with Pat also decided to go to the twins' house and the two ex-villains wished the younger heroes farewell, promising to see them again. As if all the problems in the world vanished, Virgil sighed a sigh of relief. Both of the teen heroes began their walk back home.

It was becoming 4 o'clock by the time they arrived. Janus knocked on the door, mimicking the sound of a famous Christmas carol. The door opened and a gasp was heard from the other side. Mother ran over to check on her wife only to gasp as well.
"You guys are alive!" They said in unison, pulling them in for a hug, "we were looking everywhere for you guys."

"We even asked some old colleagues, and they said they couldn't warn you about the betrayal before you guys left them," Mother stated, with a relieved expression on her face.
"Do you mean Talyn and the others," Janus asked, forgetting 'the others' names. The women nodded, allowing the boys to get in the house and away from the cold.
'So that's how my parents knew about me having powers and probably how Thomas knew as well,' Virgil thought as he was wrapped up in a fluffy blanket, with shadowling on his lap. Janus was also wrapped in a blanket and had his scale side of his face on a heated pillow. He was a bit cold.

The women sat down on the two seater chair and cuddled together, using each other's body warmth. Mum turned on the news, since lots of Christmas ones had been popping up, like a new song or movie. On the news, however, was a picture of a crashed train that had hit a bricked wall underground. The two heroes looked at each other and laughed, confusing the couple on their left. V's parents shrugged it off and put on the live action grinch, at the point where the grinch is eating the onion.

After all the events, things had started to go right for the students and that was too last.
