=~•Logan's POV•~=
I had not realised from earlier observations that Virgil was able to locate the carotid artery or for Remus to pay attention to his surroundings. The new student that I accompanied to class yesterday morning seemed to be physically fine about what had occurred in front of him. It was a very eventful day, if I do say so myself. This morning at 7:34, I had been walking to school when I saw Janus walking in the same direction as I was. Something that 'caught my eye' (as people say) was that his physical well-being seemed to have deteriorated from the last time I had seen him. The side of his face that had once shown his vitiligo -a condition in which the skin looses pigment cells- was now embedded in conforming bandages. Although his face showed zero signs of discomfort, I was now informed that an event must have taken place. The walk towards the school building was tiresome, however I was intrigued with what had happened for this kind of medical treatment.
Janus was unaware of my presence due to my abilities. My powers consist of telekinetic abilities, invisibility and enhanced intelligence, which assists me in my work. I work for my proprietor (who me and my colleagues have been informed to address them as J) alongside my companions Roman and Patton. Although both Roman and Patton have been told a falsehood about the 'hero' company and what they hope to accomplish. I saw past J's 'bullshit' (as many people vocalise) however I do not wish to inform them about this as society could take advantage of being 'put in their place'. In my opinion, the concept of bad and good is evidently meaningless and us humans can deem anything as acceptable or not.
I disabled my invisibility as I reached the education facility's doors. Unlike many would suspect, I do not enjoy this place of work as the teachers are very foolish and incorrect. Not only this fact, my peers are extremely irritative and ignorant to 'common-sense'. As I entered through the doors, after ten seconds to not cause suspicion from Janus, I was greeted by a crushing hug from my companion, Patton. He was dressed in his usual ridiculous attire he regularly wears. His curly, sandy blonde hair rested upon his scalp. Circular glasses framed his cerulean eyes that shone with emotion every time he spoke. His blue polo shirt was accompanied by a grey cardigan wrapped around his shoulders. He wore khaki shorts and brown leather shoes with white socks.
"HI Logan!" Patton yelled directly in the ear on my left.
"Salutations Patton," I greeted, prior to the bell ringing. His face 'fell', as some say, and he said his goodbyes before leaving me in solitude. A sigh left my lips, he does not deserve to have to work for J. I am lead to believe that the only reason he does is due to the fact his significant other (Roman) does. His abilities are fairly strong due to the fact his father was the infamous Enamour. The abilities he possess are to manipulate ones emotions and to deliver migraines or concussion to his victims.Once I entered the classroom, all my peers around the room stared at me. My face showed zero emotions but instead my glare that people apparently cower from. The teacher looked at me with a face of anger and displeasure before she opened her mouth to begin interrogating me. To be fair, if I was to retrieve a detention, I would not attend out of spite. However this was not the case, since when I looked into her eyes a faint glow of yellow was present in her iris. My eyes searched the room for any sign of others acknowledging that powers were in use. My search was cut short by my teacher allowing me to sit down without any hassle. During that class I only paid attention to those present with me to try and discover who could possibly possessive mind control. My thoughts and predictions fell on the student beside me, Janus. I made a pledge to myself to discover if my accusations were correct. Class ended not long after I came up with this suggestion.
Time skip to lunch (again)
As I journeyed to the cafeteria, I passed Janus sitting down on a bench close to the sports field. The area was empty of people like usual during lunch period. His clinical bandages were placed next to him leaving his face, that was once covered, exposed. My steps began to slow when I saw his right-side of his face. He soon noticed my presence and made a deafening noise from his mouth. Anyone who was in the perimeter, if there was anyone, would have assumed he was being murdered. My theory was proven correct when his eyes began to glow a pale yellow along with... the rest of his body? He began to shake vigorously and seemed to be on the edge of a mental breakdown. This was proven false when he seemingly disappeared leaving his clothes apart from his hat. To say I was surprised would be a very clear understatement. My surprise was increased when I saw a small reptilian head appear from under his jacket. I was about to reach for him when a sound alerted me to another's presence.
Behind me was who I believe to be was Remus Kingsley, Roman's brother. I know that Remus has powers much like Roman and he is aware of mine. He gradually made his way over towards Janus and I and quickly picked him up. Janus looked thoroughly exhausted from what I assume was his first transformation. His forked tongue laid out of his mouth in quite an adorable way. He was laid on Remus' neck while he got taken to somewhere I was unaware of. He seemed quite content laying there on his shoulders and seemed to start loosing consciousness. Once they were out of site, my mind could only think of one thing; the others deserve to know of this.
Time skip to end of the school day
The school day drew to a close and my companions were waiting for me at the field in which I saw Janus. His clothes were not on the bench I had distinctly remembered they were, instead they were not in site. I managed to see Roman waiting impatiently as his foot tapped against the earth making some rise and swirl around his legs. Patton waited excitedly for me while holding hands with Roman and looking around. Both of their gazes locked into me and waited expectingly for me to discuss what I had seen that day at lunch. I sucked in a breath before starting my witness.
After I had finished explaining what I had been able to see, both of my friends showed different emotions. Patton looked excited as usual and was talking about how we could make another 'friend'. Roman on the other hand seemed to be filled with 'bottled-up' rage against Janus. His face showed extreme loathing towards the other superhuman. He quickly excused himself to tell J about the scene that had taken place before returning and taking Patton's hand. They both waved goodbye to me before swinging their linked hands all the way down the road. I knew it was time for me to follow suit and head back to my father, who was the superhero Savvy.
The doors to my house opened quietly as I took a step inside. My feet hit the floor in a simple, unchanging rhythm towards my room. Once I had entered, I began writing theories, hypothesis and ideas for a certain student's powers. I began to wonder if other odd events had taken place amongst other people in my school. My thoughts 'landed' on one of my acquaintances, Virgil. His hair had been completely white yesterday morning but once he came back from lunch period, his hair was a purple that shocked me greatly that even I had shown emotion. Although this could be seen as him dyeing his hair, he had told me countless times his appearance was not something he would change but he would change his crippling fear. I fell asleep at my desk, that was now covered in papers, with only one question on my mind; If there are more people with powers in school, would they create their own team to go against us?
-Words- 1426
Well that was not easy to write! Who knew trying to be formal and smart was such a challenge. Patton has finally been added and Janus now has had his powers discovered. If you are wondering about Remy and Emile, they will be added in about 2 more chapters or so. Until next time, adios!
