T.W: swearing, fighting and death
=~•Virgil's POV•~=
A cold chuckle ran through the desolate street.

My hair was on edge as an unfamiliar sound made itself known around us. My eyes darted around the dim street. My head was on a swivel. I could feel my heart trying to break from my rib cage. My senses were heightened as I focused on the different sounds. The whistling of the wind. The dripping of the rain. The odd footsteps... wait. I flipped my eyes over to where the sound was. Right where Thomas was stood. Key word: stood. He wasn't there. I backed away from the spot and accidentally knocked into Janus, who was doing the exact same thing.

The ex-heroes were in a fighting stance, waiting for the unknown person to attack. We waited. It was all quiet. Not a peaceful silence, no, a silence that screamed eerie. The rain didn't even seem to make any noise. That was since the rain had now stopped hitting the ground. It was beginning to rise. Every puddle, every droplet was rising. The wind had ceased and was now gathering multiple fallen leaves, making small leaf tornadoes. Every leaf was now high in the sky and every dark cloud was above us. The same cold chuckle came again. That was the last bit of silence.

As soon as the chuckle finished, everything that had been gathering in the sky was soon back in full force. The rain was hammering down on us all as the wind basically swept us up. The ex-heroes looked around with the sort of face you get when you remember something horrible. Like when you have a test the next day at school or when you have to see your horrible family member. I was the most anchored down to the ground due to my masses of clothing and my will to not go up high if it's not my idea. Remus had summoned his famous Morningstar and Roman with his claymore. Logan had turned invisible and Patton was holding a... rolling pin, threateningly. Like I know his powers aren't useful whilst fighting but why a rolling pin? Janus had become an anaconda about 9ft in length and I was gathering the stray shadows around the street.

As I was gathering them, I saw something dart into the next darkly lit area. It looked to be a figure of a person! I was about to alert my teammates about this before a piece of lightning cracked down 4ft in front of me. This caused me to obviously jump back and almost fall over my reptilian friend. Everyone looked around right before the figure emerged. They were in full black and none of their facial features were showing. The only colour on this person was a slight orange lightning bolt on their arm. The figure lifted their arm and pointed towards us. This was what caused a huge gust of wind to pick up the ex-heroes. This figure was aiming for us. It was aiming for the heroes. My shadows twitched before I lost control and they all darted over, towards the darkly dressed person. Everyone else took this as a sign to fight back.

The sky was growing darker every passing second and we weren't winning. This bitch had already thrown Pat across the street, along with me. I managed to get back up but Pat looked too exhausted. Instead of forcing him too fight more, my shadows decided to comfort him and warm the man. The shadows have a mind of their own. As I ran back over to the fight, unused shadows from close alleys and buildings came with me. Logan must have been distracting the person before, most likely, getting punched by accident. Only bad thing about invisibility. The twins were battling this villain, with Janus trying to bite the dude. He had changed from an anaconda into an Inland taipan. If he did get a bite into the character, they would most likely be dead. How I know this, well Janus has let me look into some of the zoologist books.

The heroes were high in the sky, trying to make their way down safely. Enamour was creating ice spikes, trying to pierce the villain. Savvy was trying to glitch other objects onto the figure. All of their attempts were futile and I could see their frustration. Where the fuck is Thomas. That bitch pulled a fucking Gandalf, leaving at the time we need him most. Unless he didn't leave and was taken somewhere against his own will. What if he is dead. What if he... calm down and carry on fighting. My shadows began to start tripping the person, allowing the twins to get a few hits on him. We seemed to begin to beat them. The wind was beating faster on my face, seeming to bite my snowy skin and my waterlogged clothing wasn't helping my health. My shadows were the only thing keeping me warm from this. That wasn't my main focus though. My main focus was to kill this bitch.

The tables were turning on the figure and I felt like we could win this. Nothing could go wrong now, right?

Apparently something can go wrong.

"If I'm gonna die," began the dark human, "I'm not going alone." That was when we heard a piercing scream. Janus must have taken this chance to bite the person, adding another scream to the mix. The screams must have been the loudest thing I have ever head or it was because of my intense hearing. After the last scream vanished, nothing moved. The wind relaxed. The rain dripped, calmly. Nothing was like how it was a second ago. The person had dropped limply on the floor, with Janus peering over him, now in his human form. A smirk of triumph was on his face, while Roman took a step away from him. It seemed like we won until I heard a shuddering gasp. I turned around to see Patton and Logan, looking at two deceased people. Two people related to them.

Death scene starting

Savvy and Enamour were impaled by two different ice spikes. The ice was stained with the red, thick substance we call blood. It was flowing steadily from the back and stomach from both men, at the ice was protruded through the entire body. They must have fallen from the extreme height and accidentally fell onto the closer spikes. Blood was pooling at the bottom of the frozen water, and filling the air with the iron smell. Pat and Lo were staring wide-eyed at their now dead dads. Why has everyone's dad died?!

The ice was beginning to melt, causing the blood to thin and become watery. It was very graphic and I am definitely traumatised. I'm probably gonna have too see Emile Picani, therapist dude who is friends with Thomas, after this. That's even if I survive.

Death scene ended

"Well this ain't good," I said, mostly too myself.
"You don't fucking say, mate!" Janus stated, loudly. I looked around the still empty street, looking for Thomas. Something that did surprise me when I was looking around was that neither Lo or Pat were crying. Okay, Logan not crying didn't surprise me but Pat not did. Patton cries about killing a house fly but not about his father's death? Well he probably knew the house fly longer. Although the two weren't crying, both the twins were comforting one. Roman was obviously comforting Pat while Remus was comforting Lo. Another thing that surprised me was that Lo gave Re a soft smile. Like the type you give to a 'roommate'. I looked over to Janus, who also seemed too notice the tension. So oblivious. I'm not even that oblivious, am I?

Well now we are all alone without any adult supervision. This might not be as easy as we first thought.

Dad killing author is back, bitches! Why I like too kill the dads, I don't know. If you would like to know what an Inland taipan is, let me explain.
The inland taipan, also commonly known as the western taipan, the small-scaled snake or the fierce snake, is a species of extremely venomous snake in the family Elapidae. The species is endemic to semi-arid regions of central east Australia. Aboriginal Australians living in those regions named the snake Dandarabilla.

Thank you all for 1k as well. That is just an insane amount of reads! Well until next time, adios!
