as the raven wakes up, she confusingly sits up and squints as sunlight hits her through the window. she looks beside her, finding the cold greaser beside her. and for once, she feels regret for sleeping with the boy.

"it's over ... we're over."

last night's memories come flooding at her making her shake her head. she quietly and carefully moves, knowing that the boy is nothing but a light sleeper. as she readjusts her bra while clutching the sheets around her waist, she hears a soft groan making her close her eyes.

"hey." she turns around and fakely smiles at the one and only, dallas winston.

"hi. erm, i think i better go." the awkwardness laced with her voice makes her mentally self palm herself.

"don't! i mean- i don't want people thinking you're just a nobody to me." dally chuckles after his words, pretending to himself and elena that he isn't hurt.

"but aren't i? i mean, we're nothing anymore. last night, it was a mistake." she whispers as she puts on her clothes, ignoring the touches all over her body.

"you're saying what we did was a mistake, doll? no offense but i think plenty of broads would pay just to be in bed with me." not even the humor could remove the awkwardness.

"goodbye, dallas. there isn't a us anymore, okay? enjoy your time."

"c'mere baby." elena knew that it was over, completely over. she knew that although she was a little rough on him in the morning, it still pained her that the small thing they had between them was over.

now, she was at her bestfriends house, wanting support.

"w-we argued last night, said some rough and truthful shit and yeah." elena sighs.

"and ..."

"maybe we ... slept together? ok, don't judge! it wasn't make up sex, no. it was just ... very needed angry sex with our emotions?" the blonde friend laughs at the embarrassment.

"no judgement!"

"i still care for him, you know? i won't just drop him, either. we'll have to speak again because after all, we were friends before all of this."

"it's okay to be sad about this. it's a heartbreak after all, my love. look, please don't be slumping around, okay? come here whenever you need to." maddy smiles as she brings her sad friend into a warm hug.

"thanks."

on the way to the curtis', dallas winston huffed annoyingly. why was he actually bothered with the situation? did the small "breakup" actually impact him. he shrugged it off his shoulders as he entered through the door, finding the gang doing their normal morning routines.

"morning, dal." steve greets but frowns as he sees his pal's face.

"woah, who broke your heart?" it was supposed to come out as a joke, but by the look of the brown haird greaser, it was a serious question.

"don't even ask about it." is all dallas mutters before walking into the kitchen, grabbing and opening a beer, drinking it without remorse.

"slow down, dal. don't want any drunks early in the morning." darry snaps as he washes his hands. dallas simply chooses to ignore the command and drinks faster, as if he was being timed to a short amount of time.

"what happened, dal? you ain't yourself this mornin'." the middle aged curtis brother asks as he leans against the wall. he knew that look, the look of heartbreak!

"me? nah man, nothing happened. just, don't give yourself to a woman, it'll pain you." he wipes his mouth and throws the empty can in the trash, sitting on the couch beside the only person he'll every truly trust.

"johnny?"

"hm?" the shy greaser responds, knowing his buddy's about to ask him something serious.

"if a gal gives herself to you after a huge fight, and the next morning says it's nothing and it's over, what does that mean for her?" the brunette could help but feel like an idiot for asking such question. who was he to ask that?

"it means it did mean something. yes, she said it was over but it's a metaphor for, 'we're not actuallly over, we are just confused' type of over." johnny shrugs his shoulders, assuming that's what happened between his two friends.

"and what if the male still feels something? or what if he doesn't want to feel something?"

"that means that this male does feel someyhing but refuses to believe it himself because he doesn't want to seem as week and vulnerable."

"you're talking about yourself? what does that mean to you?" those words make dallas sit up, finally going to let that small heartbreak escape.

"it means i care, johnny. it means i am changing into a man capable of greatness. i am selfish, and it's the reason that i love her that i can't be selfish with her!"

not only was dally himself frozen by his words, but everyone in the house froze at his words. but what made him go completely quiet was when the same girl he was talking about entered the room ...
