*dally's pov*

i stare at the ceiling, a cigarette hanging from my lips.

although i'm not supposed to feel anything, i couldn't help but feel (a little) sympathy for elena. sylvia can be a little (too) harsh when it comes to defending what's hers, even though i don't don't belong to anyone. sylvia gets easily jealous that i never mention who i'm hanging out with because she'll tag along like a lost puppy.

i inhale the cigarette once more before placing it on-top of the ashtry on my nightstand. i annoyingly groan as the loud (inaudible-ish) music plays downstairs.

totally forgot i had to meet with elena ... and that boy. i scoff as i stand up and grab my leather jacket, putting it on and opening the door.

"go get a room." i snap as i see a couple making out against the old walls. i walk downstairs, looking around for elena.

"yo, dallas!" i turn my head and see buck wave at me.

"elena is here, along with a boy. he's tall, blue eyes, and has blonde hair."

"what." i growl as i shake my head. no, it can't be him.

"yeah, she seemed a little unsure with him, as if she were forced to be here." buck says as he hands someone a beer.

"thanks for the headsup." i mutter as i walk and look for elena, something i don't ever feel, fear, filling up my body.

i was about to give up when i see elena uncomfortably look around, an arm around her. i turn my head and see him, smirking as he sees me.

"elena ... come here now." i sternly order as i put her behind me while he laughs and claps.

"why are you here?" i yell as i intensely glare at him.

"here to have fun, dallas." i look down and see elena look at me with a face filled with confusion as he stands up.

"w-wait, how do you know his name, bryce?" i flinch at the name coming out of elena's mouth.

"let him explain, my beautiful angel." bryce crosses his arms over his chest and raises his head, a little smug smile following.

"dally .... ? how does h-he know y-you?" elena demands as i close my eyes.

"bryce .... is my cousin. we're cousins." i say as i feel elena part from my touch.

"w-what?" elena says as i see the other boy, liam i assume, stand up and grab her by the waist.

"yes my love! your greaser lover and i share blood, can't you believe! i was waiting for him to spill the truth, although not here." bryce beams as i scoff.

"you don't belong here, bryce. leave." i harshly say as i walk towards elena and attempt to grab her hands but she pulls away. i look at her eyes, a look of hurt spread across her (beautiful) face.

and before i knew it, i turn around quickly.

"you! you are the jerk who abused her, right?!" i yell.

"ding ding ding!" i feel the anger rush to my face, clenching my hands into fists.

"was rebeca not enough for you!?" i yell as bryce's face changes.

"don't even mention her, dallas." i shake my head and push past him, grabbing elena and her friend and walking out the bar.

"let me go!" elena yells as i sigh and let her go.

"you knew h-him? and you didn't even care to tell you both were related?" elena yells, tears already flowing down her face.

"i-"

"no! i don't wanna hear your excuses anymore, dal. liam, let's go." elena says as she takes his hand and runs past me.

i know i shouldn't care, but seeing her run away is like seeing a broken heart replace my cold one.
