Y/n and Keigo walked together towards his hero agency, chatting quietly. It was about five in the morning, so it was still dark, but there were a couple of pedestrians and they didn't exactly want them to overhear whatever conversations they had.

"Mirko got out of the hospital," y/n glanced up from her phone, showing him her texts with Mirko, but only the ones from the day-of because Mirko liked to tease her through text about him. "She's been cleared to come with you for the fight later today."

"Can I see that?" Keigo asked, reaching for her phone as she turned it off, immediately tucking it into her hero costume's pocket.

"That's- not a good idea," y/n responded to his questioning eyebrow-raise, her voice a tad bit too high and her face warm. "I don't think you'd be interested in what Mirko and I usually talk about."

"Actually, I'm very interested," Keigo smirked, tilting his head a bit to the side as he glanced at her blushing face. "What do you two talk about? I vaguely remember you not being friends with her until after your fight with All for One."

"It's nothing!"

"Really?" he sounded unconvinced, wrapping his wing around her small body as she kept her eyes on the ground, trying to ignore her warming face. "You can tell me; I won't laugh at you or anything."

Y/n sincerely doubted the honesty in his statement, but she just shrugged kinda awkwardly, grasping the edge of his wing.

"Girl-talk," she admitted quietly. "It's not really important. She's my only female friend and is kind of nosy, so... um, yeah."

"Oh," Keigo blinked, tucking his hands into his pockets. "Never mind then, I won't ask. For today, how is it going to work?"

"For training Tokoyami? I was thinking we could give him a demonstration and try to fight each other- I have no idea how that would go down- and afterwards, he can fight us one on one."

"That would be interesting, but I'm not going to hold back on you," Keigo warned her, a small smile on his face. "So you might end up getting hurt."

"I don't want you to," y/n rolled her eyes, running a hand through his messy hair. "And you're the one in the middle of a mission, I just have to teach tomorrow."

"That's true, but you wouldn't want your class to see whatever bruises you get," Keigo explained. "Wouldn't it be hard to explain that their strength and conditioning teacher managed to lose a fight?"

"Okay, first of all, it wouldn't be any of their business," y/n started, absentmindedly tugging at a couple strands of his hair as she spoke. "Secondly, there's no guaranteed that you would win. And I'm also their fighting teacher; I have to teach them hand to hand combat. Losing a fight helps to learn."

"We'll just have to see with that," Keigo smirked, grabbing her hand from his hair and holding it, interlacing her gloved hand with his. "Let's head inside."

Y/n flushed a bright red but thankfully, she was wearing her mask as he lead her into the building, greeting his sidekicks, Endeavor's sidekicks because he was here today but somewhere upstairs, and his secretaries.

Y/n's been inside the building pretty often, so most of the sidekicks greeted her too as she turned to glance at them, waving politely.

"You know, we should partner up," Keigo commented lightly, pushing the button on the elevator that took them down to where Tokoyami was waiting for them. "Like, our agencies can work together."

"That would be nice, but that would mean that I would be in a three-way partnership with you and Endeavor and I've been avoiding him," y/n shook her head. "It's a nice offer though, maybe in the future when you aren't working together we can."
