Chapter Seventeen: Break Ben

A month ago I was enjoying my travel, visiting places and experiencing new things but now I am far from enjoyment.

When I got back home I attended the parade despite being dizzy and enjoyed for a couple of days.

Ben also came to school to visit and I also got to give him the chocolates I bought. I was happy to see him and that happiness might be one of the reasons why Im doing the best I can to finish all this performance tasks I need to do just so I could become a completer.

Good morning class. Maam Faye- our adviser came in class while we were all busy completing tasks from various subjects. We all stoop up quickly and fixed the whole class but then maam Faye prompted us to stop.

Its okay, I will only be announcing to you that on March 25 your parents should come to school for an assembly, regarding your citizen training graduation.

Make sure to give them this waivers and make sure also that they will attend. After the announcement, maam Faye left us all in daze.

Wow, were actually graduating. Arie said. She was actually sitting next to me, trying to copy and slightly modify my answers in an essay activity.

Yeah Im both excited and sad.

SOOOO I looked at Arie and she was wiggling her brows while saying so.

So what? I asked back and she gave me a wide eye.

Is Ben going to be your partner in our grad? She asked and that made me think. Oh yeah. Will he?

If Tom gets to be youre partner. I replied and she scowled at me which made me laugh. Well, she used to flirt with Tom and he even asked Arie to be her partner on grad. I remember us friends helping Arie dress up for the grad. Looking back, it all seemed hilarious.

Whos Tom? she asked pretending to be oblivious.

Oh the guy who flirted with you and ended up with another girl? this time, I can sense that Arie was getting mad.

Even if I laugh at how that guy tripped up my best friend, I still cant forgive him for doing that. He used Arie and she fell for him! What an insolent man.

Well, back in the days I used to think that I was also being used by Ben to get over with his ex. But that was all in the past, I know its not true anyways.

Besides, as of this moment, I can tell that we both have genuine feelings for each other.

You know what? I said and Arie looked at me expressionless.

What? she said blankly. Shes probably thinking that Id be lecturing her about Tom. But what I really wanted to say is;

I want to see Ben. I said which made her scoff.

What the hell? He was here a while ago! oh yeah, I almost forgot he did visit me earlier. Maybe thats the reason why I miss him even more.

But I want to see him I insisted and that was the reason why I had to spend my whole night doing my supposedly finished tasks instead of chatting with the love of my life. Well of course I did tell him I needed to finish up something.

Days went by and here we are, a week before the cadet graduation. And I still havent asked Ben to be my partner.

Its a Sunday morning, a great day to tell him or maybe not because I dont really know how to do it. Well it should be obvious that he will be my partner because duh, hes my boyfriend. So this is kind of like a prom date or something.

I was about to text him when my mom came in my room.

Hey honey, are you doing okay? she asked and I nodded. My relationship with mom has somehow healed. Right now I can joke and laugh with her, I have no hard feelings about the past either.
