I woke up today with a really bad hangover.
Fuck. My head hurts so bad. Ugh what happened last night? Holy shit.
It all came back to me like being slammed by a car. How I had danced on the table and kissed that guy.
Shit. I hope I never see him again. Oh god.
I checked the time on my phone and it was already 2pm.I got up and took a hot shower. After 20 minutes of burning my skin, I decided to turn off the water and get out. I brushed my hair out and brushed my teeth. I changed into black and white tie-dye sweatpants and a spaghetti strap white crop top.
I popped on a bit of make up because why not and headed downstairs.
I was going to go into the kitchen when I heard my parents arguing. I stopped at the edge of the stairs and listened to them."That still doesn't justify why you couldn't be there for our daughter, and I swear Daniel if you don't show up for her birthday either, there will be problems." Mom said.
"Katie you know I'm busy. It's not always my fault." Dad said.
"Oh yeah than what was Chloe talking about? All about you cheating?"
"Katie, you know I love you. I would never do anything like that. She's a teenager, they have mood swings."
Bullshit.
"I'm sorry Daniel, but I don't love you anymore."
"Why don't you leave me then huh?" Dad said angrily punching the wall.
"Because we have to stay in this together for our daughter, imagine the trauma she would have if we divorced." Mom said grabbing his arm and pulled hun down to a chair.
"Of course, Chloe is my biggest priority." Dad said, calming down after a few minutes.
I went in and walked right past them to the table.
"Morning Chlo bear." Dad said
"Don't call me that." I murmured.
"Whoa someone woke up on the wrong side of bed today." Dad said defensively.
"Oh my mood was perfectly fine until I heard you guys. Do you have any idea how fucking stupid you sound?"
"Chloe! Don't use that type of language in my house." Mom said.
"No, I'm tired of just shutting up and drowning out my emotions. Do you have any clue about all those nights throughout my whole childhood, I've cried into my pillow and tried drowning out the noise of you guys fighting?"
"Chloe, you don't understand. We do everything for you. You could have talked to us about it." Mom said a bit hurt.
"Oh yeah? Was blatantly ignoring all the girls your husband talks to on his phone about and all those hickeys for me?"
"Chloe Rae..." Dad started but I cut him off.
"I'm tired... do you have any idea how traumatized I am? I don't think you guys' minuscule brain can interpret that it's much more traumatizing for the child if you stay together than just getting a divorce and moving on?" I said, tears flowing down my face.
