As I leave the train, suddenly the coldness hits me, I was confused as it was only the 6th of September and this morning it was scorching.
Harry saw my confusion and explained how it's much colder it is here then other places as the amount of magic that's used effects the weather. Unfortunate I thought, this would a great place to get a tan. I grabbed my gloves from my pockets and shoved them on and my fingers started to warm up against the cosy fabric. I strutted ahead to the coach hoping to get into the warmth faster.

As we approached the gates, I saw these magnificent, black, boney horses that looked how I would imagine death to look, I gawed upon the sight of them as they kicked their legs, silently waiting for the passengers to climb abroad, so they could also be out of this cold weather.
"How can you see them?" hermonie questioned. "only people who have seen someone die can?"
I suddenly close my mouth and go quiet as I whisper "I saw my mother pass away a few years ago from heart failure."

The images came rushing back at only 13, I was knelt at the mother's bed holding on to her hands as her body got colder. As she croacked her last words "take care of yourself, I love you" she passed away. I remember the screams that escaped from my mouth as I watched her take her last breathe my father holding me against his chest promising me everything will be okay, but it never was.

The three of them lowered their heads to the floor as I watched waves of sympathy and sadness cover over them.
"It's okay guys I enjoy speaking about her, she's was an amazing women and I'm glad I got the time with her that I did." I hide the pain I was feeling, forcing myself to smile.
My mother was never a bad person, she knew exactly what my father was but she loved him anyways because she knew the other side to him, just like I do.

As we got into the carriage, Harry spoke again" I know how you feel I lost my parents when I was only a child, yet I grieve for them as if I knew them. "
" I'm so sorry for your loss Harry, how did you parents pass if you don't mind me asking. "
My whole world was about to change as he told me who it was.

"Voldemort killed my parents, he is the one who left this scar" as he pointed to his forehead,
I was shocked and broke, anger filled my veins. My father. My own flesh and blood killed his parents. When Potter made news, my father always told me it was a looney man who broke into the house and they got the wrong end of it.
my heart was broken.
I should of knew different, why was he so angry at Potter all the time? Is the death of potters family the reason he left me and my mother for over four years at the beginning of my life?
I knew who my father was, but I was yet to see the damaged he had caused until now.

"I won't rest until he's gone, he killed my parents and my friend and soon it will be him" Harry explained, I held my breathe and looked away before tears built into my eyes, he was going to kill my father yet here I am sat with him. He won't succeed, he's my father, I won't let him die!

The rest of the journey ended quickly as we approached the castle, I was star struck, it was gorgoeus the lights boomed outside of the castle windows I could feel the warmth from here and I couldn't wait to be inside, it looked so inviting.

As we walked into the great hall my mind wonders around to look at it, in its glory, candles were lit all across the room yet they was floating harmlessly with not a drop of wax in sight, it was marvelous. My eyes gaized around the rest of the room and I realised how many people there's was and how many had their eyes on me. I looked to the floor and my cheeks flushed red, I wasnt used to the attention.

I was split from the rest of my year as I was New and had to be sorted into a house. "Lucy Baker"
my name was shouted and the hall fell silent as I was the only year 6 student joining that year. As I approached the steps Dumbledore and Miss Mcgonagall gave me a quick smile as Snape gave me a nod.
I met Dumbledore a few weeks before I started and snape I have knew most of my life as he is a close friend to my father.

I carefully sat on the chair as the hat was placed onto my head.
"Ah yes, bold and witty just like slytherin, yet you have to much kindness for them. Rawclaw would be a good match yet I don't believe it would be perfect.. Ah you would be perfect in... GRYFFINDOR"
As all the table shouted and cheered I couldn't contain my excitement yet when I looked around snape had a dissapointed look smothered across his face, I choosed to ignore and went along to sit with my new friends.

I watched as each new year was sorted into a house, I noticed how everyone cheered when someone was placed into a house unless it was slytherin, they cheered for their own and their own only.
I looked across the table and yet once again the boy with platinum hair caught my attention and I realised I must of caught his as well.
He looked away as soon as I noticed. I turned away to Harry and asked who he was.
"Stay away from him, that's draco malfoy, hes a bully and an idiot. Nothing good comes from knowing him" hermonie and Ron agreeing in silence, just a slight nod of their heads yet I couldn't help but glance over again, something about him pulls me in, is the dark blood that flows threw my veins or the fact that he's gorgoeus but there was lots of good looking males around, yet none caught my attention like him.

At the end of the sorting cermoney dumbledore gave a speech about the start of the year and then suddenly a banquet of food appeared, as everyone dug in our schedules was handed over, I had transfiguration and care of magical creatures with hermonie, herbology with Harry and divination with them all.
That left charms and potions without anyone I just prayed I would find a new friend.
