Christmas Day

I woke up early in the morning to Miss Flutory our head house elf.
"I have a letter and a package for you my dear."
"thank you miss."
As she shut the door I quickly opened the letter.

Dear Lucy
I thought I would write to you to tell you our oldest elves have been sent to retirement and our youngest have been sent to their mother's, all have been given new clothes to the best quality, we send our deepest apologies that this upset you, please accept this gift as a token of our apologies and we hope to see you soon.

Oh wow that is something I wasn't expecting, I feel like the happiness will burst from me the elves are free until the appropriate age and have new clothes. I opened the parcel slowly to reveal a gorgeous emerald bracelet, the colour matches my eyes perfectly I place it on my wrist and go to find my father.

"Father, Father quickly look what the Malfoys sent me!" running into the living room I was stopped by the sight..

Here I am in short shorts and a tank top with messy hair and fluffy socks and they are all sat around looking extra dressed up today.. Or is that just because I look a mess? I can feel my face turning the brightest red as narcissa gives me a big smile and draco slightly giggles.
"I am so sorry for intruding, father ill be in the kitchen if you need me."
Before he even had chance to speak I ran back off shouting for one of the elves so I had someone to gossip to, they always helped me when I had no one else.
*a few minutes later*
"that young one seems to be fond of you dear, have you tried speaking to him"
"Draco, oh no you have it wrong miss" as I twisted the bracelet around on my wrist.
"he's just goes to my school nothing special if anything I would call him my bully" as I giggle to myself.
"Anyways I must leave you I'm sure you have more important stuff then to gossip with a teenage girl, fare well ill see you for dinner."
As I leave I bump straight into Draco,
"Talking about me are we?" his smile touching the top of his eyes,
He must of heard our conversation in the kitchen.
"No of course not Draco, but I must say farewell, I have to go now as you can tell I am not dressed appropriately for this discussion."
As I turn for the stairs my father starts to leave the living room, i dash it up, my last glance was draco watching me going.

I woke up on a crispy winter morning.. Christmas day.

This time I made sure to put some pants on just incase any surprises was hidden down stairs.
I slowly walk down careful not to stumble as yawns kept escaping my mouth is was around 7am but nothing stops me on christmas day not even sleep, as I got to the living room door and seen a note on the door.

Lucy, please make sure you are dressed appropriately, plans have changed the malfoys will be joining us for Christmas if this is after 6am they will already be here.

Shit.
I quickly ran back upstairs slipped on my sports bra, a crop top and left on my jogging bottoms. I placed my hair down with a slight bit of make up can't half draco insulting me on Christmas now can we.

I ran back downstairs and seen Ash on the floor, burned after I read it of course its lucky it was me and not a house elf!! I knocked onto the door and I heard father say come in.
I looked around the room Lucius was sat on the coach wearing a red polo shirt and black jeans.. jeans!!?? Since when did that happen! Narcissa was wearing a gorgeous green and red dress with trees and candy cains, very unprofessional.. I loved it
My father himself was wearing black jogging bottoms and plain black top but I was used to him wearing that, he wore muggle clothes when he is Tom riddle body form iv only ever seen him as voldermort three times in my life each one was to protect me or my mother.

I went to sit down on the arm chair next to my father when I seen draco in the corner reading 'the Christmas carol' he must of found that in our muggle library it better not be one of my rares!!
He was wearing a tight fitting grey top and black jeans like his father his bright blonde hair shinning on the winters light, slightly messy as if he had no time to brush it out.

"Lovely of you to finally join us Lucy, your later then last year." I blushed as all eyes went to me.
" sorry father I went sleep late last night." I felt dracos eyes on me and when I looked he was looking right at my the emerald bracelet I was wearing, he must of helped pick it.
" come Lucy, draco sit on the floor around us let us give you the presents for the year!"
As we sat down the malfoys were the first to hand over a present each,
Maybe they wasn't as bad as I thought.

As I opened my gift I got a gorgeous emerald necklace and earrings from narcissa.
" thought you might want to wear the matching jewellery to the bracelet draco picked out." draco picked it out? I knew he may of had some say but to pick it out for himself I was astonished to say the least.
"Thank you Mrs Malfoy"
"Please dear call me Narcissa"
As I opened the gift from lucius it was a first addition William Shakespeare 'romeo and juilet' my eyes shot up to my father I couldn't even describe the feelings I had!!
"where on earth did you find this!! I have been looking for many years this is amazing thank you so much!!"
" Your most welcome Miss Baker" lucius shot with a smile.

I watched as my father gave draco a present I knew what it was as I helped pick it out,
A thunderbolt VII perfect for his quiditch.
"This is amazing Mr Riddle thank you so much!" his smile just made you smile so in the end I was smiling along while the adults watched, what I didn't know is the Malfoy previously spoke about an arranged marriage with my father yet he wouldn't allow it as if he would of had an arranged marriage he wouldn't of had me.

My father's gift to me was a brand new broom as well along with a new suitcase, clothes, jewelry and a potions book with a bunch of new ingredients I was ecstatic, yet when I opened it, draco piped in telling me to wear a full body shield before I ever do potions again, everyone had a good laugh while I sat there red as a tomato.

Later on in the evening just before dinner me and draco took a stroll threw my garden onto the swings at the back,we started talking about everything and anything, we was turning into such a pair of great friends.
"so how come you picked out the bracelet" I asked.
"it matched your eyes.."is all he got out before we was shouted in for dinner.
" This may be the last day I see you before we go back to hogwarts and I Just wanted to say its been a great few days although you embarrassed me Infront of my paps I guess ill forgive." I said as we started to head in pulling up my collar as the cold started to hit.
" Iv enjoyed it as well maybe I wont be so harsh when we go back, possibly friends" I giggled at he stuck his head down watch his feet with a grin on his face
"yeah maybe"

Soon dinner was done and we was saying our farewells, my father asked to speak to me. I went into the dining room and sat back down and he sat Infront.
"you must stay away from that boy unless he is here do you understand! His family are loyal but I know they won't stop at anything to make sure they get higher up and that is for him to marry you"
"but what happens if I fall for him father, do I not go to the ones I love?"
"Don't" that was his last words as he walked out the room, I surely had no feelings for malfoy but I couldn't say never.. Could I?
