I had promised that I would go and see Cade but I wasn't ready yet. I needed to go home and think about what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Forget Cade and George for a little while.

I couldn't be with Cade and continue to have George around. There was something there and I hated that we couldn't do anything about it. He was the President's assistant and always would be. He would have even less time to invest in a relationship.

Not to mention, I wasn't sure what Cade would do if I got involved with George and I was more concerned with what the President might do.

I made it back to my apartment and put pajamas on.

I pulled my hair up in a messy bun and settled on my bed to watch some TV.

I could feel myself nodding off. I woke up to the sound of banging on my front door!

I looked at the clock, it was only 6PM.

I jumped up and threw a robe on.

"Coming! I'm coming! Hold on!"

The knocking stopped.

I looked out the peephole and saw Cade standing outside, waiting for me to open the door. He was dressed in a suit and was holding a bottle of wine.

What was he doing here?

It didn't matter because all at once, I realized that I had missed him.

I flung the door open and hugged him.

He held his hand with the bottle of wine up and put his other arm around my waist.

His cast was off and he looked great. He was definitely still working out and his perfectly tailored suit accentuated all of his hard work.

"Hey! Hi!" He said giving me a few short kisses.

"Come in...it's not as big as your place." I held the door open.

He came in and put the bottle of wine on the counter.

"I didn't come here to see your apartment. I came here to see you. I've missed having you around." He turned and looked at me.

His blue eyes reminded me of turquoise seas.

"I missed you too, Cade...but I really need to know if something is going on with you and Kay. I need you to be honest." I needed to know. There was no way I could continue to see him without knowing the truth.

"Yes. Once...before you and I. During one of our first sessions. It was back when I was being a jerk to you. I know, I'm an asshole. I know it, but please don't think that if we were together that I would ever cheat. It's happened to me before and it sucks. I won't do that to another person."

"Thank you for your honesty."

I had to say that I was impressed. He had been honest and it had happened before he and I had started talking about dating.

My biggest problem now, was that I wanted to know how far it had gone.

"I didn't sleep with her." He said as if he were reading my mind.

"I believe you."

"Good! Come here." He pulled me into his arms and kissed me. It was a sweet kiss.

"Why...are...you...here?" I asked in between kissed.

He laughed.

"You promised me a date. So, I'd like to take you out tonight. I got a reservation at Tavern on the Red. I was told it's the best restaurant in the colony."
