"Would you like to talk in my room? I'm pretty sure there are no cameras." Cade asked me after George left.

"I think that just killed the mood." I slumped back on the couch.

"Yeah, maybe it did." He laughed.

"What was that all about? Your girl?"

"You're not? I thought we had agreed to date." He smiled at me and pulled me towards the couch again.

"Cade..."

"Come on, Emily. He was all but pissing on you to try and claim his territory."

"He was not!"

Ugh! Men!

I flopped down on the couch next to him and for the first time in weeks, I was very aware of the cameras.

The next morning Kay showed up for Cade's therapy. It might have been my imagination but her outfits were becoming skimpier and skimpier. She was interested in Cade and didn't keep it a secret.

Did I have anything to worry about? Cade had called me his girl. Did that mean we were exclusive or was Ms. Sex Therapy hooking up with him too? I definitely needed to know.

"Hi Emily! I guess you're happy that Cade is doing so well! You should be able to leave soon!"

She wanted me out of Cade's apartment. Transparent, much?

"Maybe in a few weeks." I smiled sweetly at her.

"Oh! I thought you would be able to leave once his cast came off. He really only needs physical therapy now." Her fake smile was wavering.

"He asked me to stay." Her smile disappeared.

"Ladies, good morning." Cade came into the living room.

Had he heard out little conversation? I hoped not.

"Hi Cade!" Kay chirped happily.

"Emily, I'm sorry but we'll need some privacy. I'm sure you understand." Kay smiled triumphantly.

"She understands, right Emily?" Cade smiled at me.

"Oh...of course." I put my best smile on and walked over to Cade. I gave him a small kiss on his cheek and I saw Kay's face drop.

"Thank you, Emily."

"I'll go and get something for dinner." I grabbed my small bag and left the apartment.

I walked down to the promenade and walked through our small market.

I let my mind drift and all the possible things that could be going on with Kay and Cade invaded my thoughts. I knew he had a reputation on Earth. Were the stories true? Some of the other nurses would speculate about him from time to time.

Some of the stories were pretty wild and involved Cade and more than one person.

Sigh.

I was so deep in my own thoughts that I didn't hear my name being called from behind me. George was standing in front of me and he was smiling.

"Out for the day?" He asked.

"Just getting something for dinner. Cade has physical therapy."

"Yes. With Kay." He was looking at me as if he was trying to gauge my reaction.

"Yes." I smiled.

"Let me help you." He took the bag from my hand and we started walking towards the apartment.
