a GoSe update? on a monday? i can't believe it either.
i was going to publish this on saturday but i already have three more chapters ready for the end of the week. i figured i would release this one first so it's not so overwhelming.

+ i'm in a good mood the whole day today so i wanted to update. it's the first time i went outside again since i had covid 🤩🤩🤩 it was only for a few minutes but ngl i haven't been under the sun for so long.

stay healthy!

9 o'clock rolled around and the night had taken over. the air was cold and it was lightly raining. i didn't even know until i looked outside and saw how the clouds were almost as dark as the sky and i can barely tell the difference between them.

because it was nighttime, the boys were preparing to go to bed, laying their sleeping bags on the floor while i sat by the window and looked at the raindrops racing their way to the edge of the glass.

"minseul! you get the whole couch again! the rest of us will just stay here on the floor!" chan announced. "just so you know, it was my idea because i always want the best for you!"

"yeah yeah shut up, lee chan, she has a boyfriend," seungkwan said. he then gestured to soonyoung, who was on the floor, talking to minghao. they seemed to have their own little world there. i guess they were talking about dancing because minghao was doing some moves with his arms and soonyoung was watching him with a grin on his face. it was so refreshing to see him smile.

i was so fixated on soonyoung, i flinched at the lightest tap on my shoulder. it was seokmin, asking if he could sit beside me.

"hi," he greeted, "you look lonely here so i wanted to see if you're fine."

i chuckled and moved a little aside to give him space. "i'm fine, seok, thank you for asking."

seokmin looked a bit worried though, even when i said i'm fine. he briefly stared at the window and let out a sigh. "i didn't think it would rain today, some poor stray animals can't stay warm in homes. anyways, do you like the rain, minseul?"

"hm, i guess i do," i replied, still watching the raindrops slide down the window. "whenever we have to stay home because of the rain, soonyoung and i would always sit here and place bets on which raindrop will fall first."

"he does that with you too? that's so cute!" seokmin was all heart eyes over what i said. "he used to do that a lot with jihoon hyung, you know?"

"huh, really?"

"yeah! even though we were all separate groups before, sometimes soonyoung hyung would drop by the music room after his practice. and when it's raining, jihoon hyung and him would just stay by the window and argue over whose raindrop fell first!" the boy explained. "it was cute to see them argue. soonyoung hyung would even be like, 'seokmin ah, you saw everything right? my raindrop won and your leader can't accept it!' and then jihoon hyung would be fuming."

"ah that brings back so many old memories from our old school," he added. seokmin was clearly feeling some sort of nostalgia as he talked more about the things he vividly remembers.

"i know soonyoung and jihoon were close but i didn't know they were that close."

"oh, they really were. i don't know much about now, since jihoon hyung stopped hanging around with him," seokmin kept his voice low. "it kinda started when soonyoung hyung knew you, but i don't think that's the reason. maybe they had some unresolved problem but that's not my business."
