"ooh, you look troubled, are you feeling okay?" joshua asked once minseul entered the living room. the girl almost lifelessly walked towards the couch and threw her whole body there. "i see, you're not feeling okay," joshua said with a chuckle.

"no, i'm actually fine. i'm just a little confused."

"about?"

"about...things," minseul answered.

"very useful information, minseul."

the girl sighed, "it's fine, you don't have to give me any life advice or whatever. it's really not that big of a deal."

"right," joshua smiled at her, "i'm just going to assume this is about soonyoung."

minseul paused and leaned towards the boy, her eyes squinting. "can you read my mind?" she asked

"i mean, it's not like you ever worry about your studies. so am i right? it's about soonyoung?"

minseul just looked at him. she wasn't really sure if she wanted to tell joshua the truth. joshua is a trustworthy guy and minseul knows that, even if he had an asshole phase before. however, it doesn't seem right to tell him.

she looked away, dodging the question by asking. "i'm just curious. when you dated daein, did you really love her? i mean, did you think of other people while dating her?"

joshua was taken aback. what's with this sudden interrogation? he thought to himself. his expression went back to a more relaxed one as he smiled at her. "i think you know the answer to that," he said.

"i don't."

"you do."

"josh, i really don't."

"of course i was thinking of you," he replied, "all the time. because hello? i was with daein. i couldn't actually stand the thought of her in my own head. there was a point when i liked her, but i don't think i actually stopped thinking about you."

minseul pursed her lips. "i see."

"why, are you thinking of someone else?" joshua's eyes quickly averted to mingyu, who was planning some kind of prank on wonwoo's shoes by the front door. he then looked back at minseul.

"what!? n-no!" the girl denied, "there's really no one else to think about."

"not even me?" he joked. minseul lightly hit him as a response. "hey i'm kidding, i'm kidding! take a joke!"

"fuck you joshua."

"you know you could have if only you—"

"OH MY GOD STOP"

"I KNOW I'M JUST KIDDING!"

later that afternoon, vernon, seokmin and minghao dropped by to stay. of course, minseul was delighted to see them again. however, she was still badly missing seungkwan. she kept asking vernon why the boy hasn't been responding to her messages.
