(This piece of poetry explores the theme of 'Wabi Sabi' - a Japanese concept centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection.)
Those twisted old trees,
Clear land strewn with their rusty leaves.
Those cracked window panes,
Through which light gets in.
Those incoherent pieces of poems,
For her that he hums.
Those wrinkles surrounded eyes,
Her every unsaid word they recognize.
And she keeps counting every crack and crevice,
That were always sheltered in their house.
These little imperfections,
Painted her life,
Filling it with perfection,
And making it complete.
Staring at the setting sun,
She twined her wrinkly hand,
With his twisted ones,
Enjoying his croaky song,
"What's there more to expect,
We are just perfectly imperfect."
