Hello!
I see you.
Slowly,
Making your appearance.
Loudly,
Declaring your existence.
Unbeknownst you creep,
Every time I laugh or weep.
You come like an uninvited guest,
And stay put, ignoring one's unrest.
Your presence declares so much,
Without even uttering a word,
About the struggles one went through,
About the pains and sufferings which ensued.
You are a token of approval,
For one's experience through trials.
I guess, now, it is worthless to fret,
For you have nestled your feet,
Around my eyes, and around my lips,
On my forehead and on the chin's tip.
So, wrinkles, I welcome you,
And, yes, hello to you too.
