You told me "think about it"
Well I did, now I don't want to feel a thing anymore.
I'm tired of begging for the things that I want.
I'm over sleeping like a dog on the floor.
I hummed softly as I cleaned the dishes from breakfast. I made pancakes for the turtles, Master Splinter, April, and I. She came by in the morning to find everyone fast asleep, except for Raphael who was forced to clean the entire night and he has yet to apologize to me. There were other things but I wasn't told.
"Do you need any help?" April asked as she walked out of Donnie's lab and to me, I found out that where my mom was, was Donnie's lab.
"As a nice person I would say no because it is a burden; however, the turtles are pigs and I would love help." I said giving a her a thankful smile.
"Trust me, I learned that a long time ago." she said coming over and drying the dishes I had done.
"Has Raph apologized?" she asked after some time of quietness.
"No," I simply said with a slight shrug. I finished the last plate and began draining the now black water.
"How long have you known the turtles?" I asked changing the subject.
"Well, I've known them for a while now." she said as her face showed a smile.
"How'd you meet them?" I asked curious as I thought back to the first time we talked.
"My father was kidnapped along with me. They couldn't rescue him though." she said wearing a sad smile.
"I'm sorry." I said softly.
"It's okay," she said quietly. The comfortable silence we had before was gone. Now the silence was awkward and strange. I needed to change the subject I just didn't know how.
"So, has Donnie told you how long your mom is suppose to be in the coma?" she asked getting a smile on her face.
"No, he didn't." I said thinking back to see if he had.
"Well, he said that she should be out of it today. He also said that there should be no brain damage just a few bruise from the impacts of the people." she said cheering me up. I smiled happily. That way mum could go to work and she would be away from New York City for a bit. It would give her a chance to take a break.
"That is great!" I said jumping up and down. We chatted about some simple things as I put away the dishes. Finally we got done and began to clean and organize the kitchen out of boredom.
"MY CAT!" I yelled suddenly as I remembered Tsukiko. I quickly put what I had down and yelled to April to watch my mom.
"Hey dudette, where ya going?" Mikey asked as I passed him in a hurry to the sliding wall. I quickly opened to get out but turned to Mikey to ask him some things.
"Hey Mikey, could I have a favor?" I asked quickly.
"Sure," he said walking over to where I stood.
"Will you wait for me to come back so I'm not locked out?" I asked nicely.
"Sure dudette, just knock three times so I know its you." he said with a smile. I nodded and gave him a quick hug as I left. I ran down the sewer tunnel trying to remember which turns to take. Finally I got to the sewer cap. Now how was I going to lift this?
