I awoke from a well deserved nap. I didn't know what time it was but I sure knew it was pitch black. I remember when I was little that I discovered I could see in the dark. The only reason I couldn't see the turtles in the shadows was because I wasn't in the shadows with them.

I got up and walked down the hall. After I was beat I sat down to take a rest but apparently I had fallen asleep. Raphael must have put me outside his door to sleep so he could sleep without the burden of me. Oh well.

I walked down the stairs of the homely place and into the kitchen. I saw a movement in the darker of the shadows. I walked over to the shadow only to find Tsukiko. I smiled and tapped the counter for her to jump up. She did as commanded and then hopped on my shoulders. She stayed sitting on my shoulder as she peered around.

I looked at the clock to see it was four in the morning. I sighed. I had school in three hours and I knew there was no way for me to return to sleep. I decided tea would be the best way to make me wake up. I haven't slept in my own place in days so I had to leave soon to get ready, that I knew.

I sipped on my green tea gingerly as I felt my sense perk up. I was sitting on the counter like I was the last time I drank green tea. My head leaned back on the cabinets and inhaled the sweet sent as Tsukiko laid in my crossed lap. I gave a content sigh as my eyes shut so I could rest them just slightly.

I heard a foot step a little bit away and I panicked slightly. I set my cup down and climbed on top of the cabinets where there was about four feet to the ceiling so I had room. I crouched in the corner and leaned forward slightly. I watched closely but I couldn't tell who it was, I leaned a little closer to watch. The reached for something but I soon came to realize it was the light. I brought my hands up to block the sudden light but to my discontent I fell forward.

I let out a little yelp and a small scream as I reached for something to catch my fall. I felt something catch me but I couldn't see because my eyes were sealed shut. I slowly opened my pale green eyes and sighed in relief to see Leo looking completely shocked yet relief filled his eyes when he saw I was okay.

"Good Lord, thank you!" I said reaching up and hugging his neck. He chuckled then set me down as I released his neck.

"What were you doing up there?" he said with a questioned look.

"I heard someone coming so I hid." I said with a slight brush rising to my cheeks due to my embarrassment.

"We are safe, no need to worry." he said grabbing the tea pot and pouring himself a cup.

"Yeah but I don't have something to defend myself so if worse did come to worse then I could use the surprise attack at leverage." I said basically saying my plan out loud.

"How about this," he suggested after a while of thinking. "I will train you in the art of the katana if you train me in the art of your sarcastic and analogical comebacks." he said with a slight smirk. I chuckled lightly and nodded.
