"Go fish." Mikey said while examining his cards closely. I grabbed a card and ended up grabbing the match I needed to win. I set down the match with my others and jumped up with a smile.
"I win again Mikey!" I did a funny dance as he grumbled. I chuckled and let my hand rest on his shoulder for comfort. He relaxed but he still was slightly fuming. I chuckled once again and walked over to Raphael as he read a large book: War and Peace.
His lips moved slightly as he read and I couldn't help but inwardly laugh at his habit. I looked up from watching him to see April and Tsukiko in the kitchen making some food, Leo watching Space Heros, and Donnie gone. I concluded that he was in his lab so I head there with my weapons replaced on my back from earlier. He hasn't come out sense and its been hours. It was just past nightfall so I began to get worried.
I knocked softly as I opened the door. I entered to see him hunched over his computer as he typed something.
"Don?" I said softly, he picked up my sound and looked at me.
"Oh hey Honour, I was just about to come and get you. Do you mind letting me take a blood sample? I want to test the mutagen in your blood and compare it to ours to see if the Kranng changed anything." he said grabbing an empty syringe.
"Sure, Donnie." I gave him a smile as I walked to him. We haven't talked talked since I left so I wanted to see how he was doing. I sat on his table that once held my mum. What a burden. I should have let her die and then I wouldn't be in this situation. OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING? I STILL LOVE HER WE JUST HAVE-, uh..er...complications.
"Hey Donnie, how do you feel now that I am back?" I asked as he wiped yellowish fluid on my arm to disinfect it.
"I am thrilled but I honestly felt hurt. Unlike the others I thoughtfully went through a process in why you left. I had a few solid reasons based on situations that has happened but when you came back that confirmed possibility number twenty-six. After I went through that I felt much better. It seemed for some time I was the only one functioning." he said thoughtfully.
"A few?" I said chuckling. He gave an embarrassed blush and then held the syringe.
"Ready?" he asked. I nodded and he put the syringe in my arm. I cringed slightly but held back a yelp.
"How did April take it?" I asked softly. She never told me or expressed how she felt. She just decided to be happy and it bugged me slightly to not know what was going on.
"She handled it well, she had a feeling you would bolt and she told me the night we rescued you and Tsukiko. She told me before she left." he said. I nodded not being able to speak.
"However, school was hell for her. She said she got teased daily by a girl named Jasmine. People also blamed her for your disappearance. She said she didn't have anyone, except a guy came and befriended her; Casey, Jones." he said as he worked on putting a few drops of my blood under a telescope.
"Casey Jones? As in THE Casey Jones?" I said in utter shock. Casey Jones was the star of the Hockey Team for years! He was so cute and he could fight. I've seen him on the ice before at one of his games. He was sweet, kind, and generous. He was my first and only crush and the sad part is that I began liking him in sixth grade, so make this about eight years of crushing.
"Yeah, I take it you know him?" he said looking at me strangely.
"We only went to school for a ton of years and he was my first and only crush!" I said with a small giggle. I danced around at the fact that he knew April and I could possibly meet him.
