The boys have long went to bed. After all the games Mikey complained of being tired and took Tsukiko to bed with him. I didn't mind I trusted Mikey with her. Plus Tsukiko needed a change of environment. April headed home long before then. Even Raphael went to bed before Leo or Donnie. Donnie checked in when he had a sudden idea for an invention and went to his lab.
I pretended to be asleep to avoid awkward conversation with Leo so when he turned back from wishing Donnie night he would find me asleep on the couch. He gave a small sigh before standing and putting a blanket on me then headed to bed.
And that is how I got my alone time. I was now sitting with my legs crossed on the kitchen counter while drinking green tea. I was leaning against the cabinets while I thought about what I was going to do with my mum.
She was still in her coma. I have no idea how I would tell her work if she didn't wake up tomorrow. I would have to call and say she got mugged then tell them that she slipped into a coma. I don't know how they would react to that, I mean she is way up there in the business so if she went missing, well, it would be noticed.
What about school? I would have to go to school knowing she may not wake soon. How would I do in school? This is effecting me huge. I will most likely get distracted and my grades would plumate and then I would drop out. Then I wouldn't get a job and then I would live on the streets. Then people from school would see me and I would die because of the humiliation I would have.
"Hello Honour-chan." Master Splinter said walking next to me.
"Hello Master Splinter." I said bowing my head to him.
"Would you mind pouring me some tea?" he asked politely. I nodded and poured him a cup.
"Thank you," he said sipping it. I nodded and sat there as the silence rang through the kitchen. It was a nice silence. We were there physically for each other and that comforted me in my situation.
"I understand that you are worried about your mother." he began toward me. "Have faith my child and in the end all will come together." he spoke calmly.
"Thank you Master Splinter." I said with a smile.
"I would like you to come to training in the morning." he said suddenly. I looked over at him with curiosity.
"Training?" I asked.
"Yes, training. I will have you spar to see how well you fight and then I can guide you from there." he said walking toward the kitchen.
"Yes, Master Splinter. I would love to join you." I said getting up and standing towards him to bow.
"From now on you may call me Sensei." he said setting his tea in the kitchen. Then he came to me and placed his rat hand on my shoulder.
