Warmth. I felt like I was in hell which made me smile well I felt like I was smiling, I wasn't sure if I really was though. Although the cold was irrupted with cold on what seemed to be my arms which made me jump up. I felt my eyes open to reality and felt the soreness stretch across my body.
"Oh shit man." I said looking at the bandages that covered my body plus I was in a sports bra and spandex shorts so I felt slightly uncomfortable. I looked around to see no one in particular. What touched me? I got up off the table I laid on in Donnie's lab and began towards the door. I caught a glimpse in the mirror and saw how badly I was injured.
I had my right eye black and blue along with my left cheek matching in color. My hair was still in its tight braid but the bow was MIA. My shoulder on my right was bandaged along with my left forearm and right bicep. Then my stomach was completed covered with a layer of gauze and then my right thigh and calf was bandaged; however, my left leg had bruises along with my arms. I sighed and pulled my braid to my right side to cover things but id didn't take much away.
I took a deep breath and exited the room. I saw Tsukiko, April, and Casey talking and laughing in the kitchen while Donnie and Mikey engaged in a racing game. Raphael was reading War and Peace once more while Leo sipped tea and sat at the table in a thoughtful way. I coughed slightly but earned no ones attention. I walked with a slight limp to get tea in the kitchen. I stood pouring my tea as the room went silent. I turned around to see them staring at me, even Raphael.
"Yes?" I said with a questioning look.
"How are you feeling?" April piped up first.
"I'm sore but fine, nonetheless." I said sipping the now warm tea.
"I examined your cuts as you were out. You lost a lot of blood but your body will recover quickly. However the cut on your shoulder wont. You wont be able to fight for a while and I recommend no bow usage tell there is a tough scab covering the stitches." I froze. No bow? No fighting?
"What?" I said starting to shake. I couldn't believe this. The way Donnie just described them made them seem heavily deep. I couldn't handle everyone's eyes on me. I bolted. I sprinted to Donnie's lab and locked the door behind me. I went to the table and grabbed the scissors. I cut the bandages off and stared at my soon to be scarred body.
A long gash went from the farthest part of my shoulder to just above my heart. I had a dash on my arms but nothing major. My leg held a long stitch that almost went to my knee and my side had a small but deep wound. I felt tears prick my eyes as I looked at my now horrific body. Why me? Why did I have to start a stupid fight? I will find her and I will make her pay!
"Honour?" Leo asked. I ignored him. I sat in front of the mirror and cried. I cried for hours on end or at least that is what it felt like. Everyone tried to come in except for Casey and April. I even refused the door on Tsukiko. It was hard but I just told her to go away. Soon enough I heard a knock that sounded three times.
"Honour," it was April. "Please let Casey and I talk to you." she spoke so sadly it hurt me to say no.
"N-no." I said sternly but it shook with nervousness.
"Can I?" Casey said. "You know I AM Casey the great." he pushed. I slightly smiled at that. I walked over to the door and slowly opened it a crack. My left pale green eye met his large brown ones. I opened the door a little wider for him to step in and he did. I gave April a pained look of sorry and I believed she understood.
