"We could have used a little help you know?" Mia huffed as she tried to support her friend with all her might.

"I'm sorry... I just... You know I can't stand his presence." Amaryllis confessed truthfully.

"I know... Never mind about that. I better call Tobi." Mia tried to direct them to a nearby bench when her feet inadvertently crossed  and the two of them rolled on the pavement. Damn did that hurt! She even had a childhood flashback as a combo.

"Amaryllis, are you ok- Oh my god!" She shrieked in panic when she caught her friend's still figure lying face first on the ground. "Amaryllis...! Oh my god, Amaryllis! I'm so sorry!" She immediately stood up to assist her. "Amaryllis! Are you still alive!? Talk to me!" She turned her over and tried to support her with her arms that were pitifully trembling due to the strain.

"...I can't believe you dropped me... I... I trusted you... I can't believe-Ugh..." Amaryllis' winced at the bright sky, when she tried to glare at Mia.

"I'm sorry... I'm too weak! Oh, if only someone strong and reliable could help me carry you!" Mia purposely made her voice loud enough for the boys who were passing by to hear her. She had expected that after her dramatic pause, someone would have come and helped them by now but it seemed as if she had expected too much. Their eyes remained fixed at their paths and not once did they turn to the pitiful women who were sitting on the scorching pavement.

Mia was bewildered.

"...My whole body hurts and I think I'm going to faint again..." Amaryllis uttered, her eyes rolling at the back of her head.

"What?" Mia blinked, whipping her head to look down at her friend. "No... No..! Amaryllis..!" She tried to shake her friend awake with frantic flails to no avail. "How... How could you do this to me!? Don't leave me to face all this shame by myself!! Traitor!" Mia sobbed as she looked at the spectators with teary eyes. How come nobody's approaching her even when someone fainted in front of them!? She squinted her eyes in disdain. "Chivalry is truly deeaddd!" She uttered one last cry before trying to carry Amaryllis on her own but all attempts proved futile.

Just when she thought that all hope was lost, a luxurious sports car screeched, stopping beside the exact same spot where Mia was nestling Amaryllis' head on her lap. The passenger window opened and Samantha's figure was revealed. "Get in." She cocked her head at Mia who obliged all too happily despite the suspicions in her chest. She decided resolving the imminent problem should come first. Indeed. Escaping the embarrassing situation was more important at the moment, but carrying an unconscious person was easier said than done. She heaved and growled with all her might but her strength had long been squeezed out of her muscles.

Samantha huffed impatiently as she stepped down and quickly carried Amaryllis like a superhero. "Be quick and open the backseat." She uttered sternly towards Mia whose jaw had fallen from astonishment.

She never expected superman was actually a girl! "Yes, ma'am!" She nodded and quickly did as she was told.

In a little while, they were able to leave the school compound without difficulty through Samantha's help.

Now that she'd gotten Amaryllis out of trouble, she had to think about the person in the driver seat. What's Samantha's motive for helping them..? She nibbled on her lip. Would it help if she pays her..? She took out her wallet and grabbed everything. This should be enough.

Mia shook the bill beside Samantha's head who was silently focusing on the road. "...Thank you." She muttered after. Of course, she had to give her face, so the thank you was inevitable.

"What is that supposed to be?" The driver queried without glancing at the piece of paper.

"For carrying Amaryllis and for the gas that you'll be using to send us home." Mia replied with an earnest tone.
