Finally!

It's sports fest in Ivan's school, and since she wanted to surprise him, she nonchalantly sent him off by the door with an oblivious smile. Soon after making sure he was gone, she rushed to pack the lunchbox she had secretly made last night while reassuring her aunt through the phone.

"I'll handle this, Aunt.... Yes, don't worry... Yes, I get along fine with the other parents. In fact, they even check up on me once in a while in the group chat...!- Yes...- Okay, do your best at work, and I'll send a few pictures later. Bye."

Amaryllis sighed as soon as the call ended. Her aunt is such a worrywart sometimes. Shrugging, she lifted the bag and slipped her arms inside the straps. She then turned around and locked the main door before rushing to the elevator. With every step she took, she also locked the memories of the issue she had left at school with Chryses. This isn't the time for that. She'll handle it later...

At least until this day is over.

But, when had fate ever went the way she wanted to?

As soon as she had reached the main lobby, she was greeted by a beautiful picture of a girl in a white dress. Her straight, silky, blonde hair swayed gracefully with every movement of her body, blending with the laces of her dress that peeked through the sheer cloth.

She looks like a fairy lost in the mid-range apartment complex, and for a moment, Amaryllis wondered if they had met before as soon as they caught each other's gazes. There was recognition in the young lady's eyes as she started walking towards her with a pleasant smile.

"Good morning. Are you perhaps... Amaryllis Larson?"

Even so. No matter how much Amaryllis tried to recall, the face of the woman before her elicited a blank slate in her memories. "Yes, but... How do you know my name? Have we met before-..?"

As soon as her identity was confirmed, the smile on the stranger's face widened. And before Amaryllis could register what was happening, the lady's hand swung up, splitting the air between them and hitting her squarely in the cheeks.

Amaryllis' head whipped to the left. Eyes widened, her hand unconsciously went up to her cheek as if it would soothe the pain that followed. It took a moment before she managed to gather her bearings. When she turned questioningly towards the lady, she was about to get hit for the second time.  Fortunately, the security personnel intervened this time. The receptionist must have called for him.

"Ma'am. Please stop. Whatever squabble you have, it's better to resolve it with words-"

She tried to shove him away but was unsuccessful, earning the man a death glare.

The security sighed as he looked away before speaking in a sombre voice. "I'm sorry, ma'am, but you can't just go around hurting our residents..."

Her eyes squinted in displeasure before veering her vicious gaze towards Amaryllis who was still speechless.

"Ahhh. I see now. Did you sleep with him, as well?"

"Wha..tt?" Amaryllis blinked at the stranger's face that was twisted with so much contempt, it was filling the whole room. "I should have known. You filthy bitch."

Amaryllis brows furrowed as she stared at the stranger in utter bewilderment. Who is she? Amaryllis is sure they had never met before. So... why? "I'm sorry but did I ever do something to you?"

The female deadpanned at her question. When Amaryllis continued to wait for her answer sincerely, she seemed to find it funny because she started laughing hysterically after a short silence.

"Oh god, are you kidding me?"

Amaryllis' frown deepened.

"Did Chryses not tell you that he has a fiancé..?" When Amaryllis didn't respond, the woman added. "I am that fiancé, Vienna Mason."

Amaryllis' blood ran cold.

"Taylor..?" A bitter taste lingered in her mouth after uttering his name. What about him again? What about his fiance? "I don't understand... What are you so angry about-?"

"Aren't you the reason whey he broke the engagement? That day... you seduced him, didn't you?- You... you slut-"

Amaryllis head spun at her assumption. "That day...? What are you talking about..?" She couldn't get a grip of what the woman was saying. She seduced who?

Taylor?

Ridiculous!

"Playing innocent? You think I don't know you went to his unit and seduced him? You scheming bitch."

The day Amaryllis went to his unit..?

The day she went home soaked from head to toe?

"You're wrong... I would never... Something like that- I don't even like him-"

"Then why did he break it off!? It's definitely your fault!... Come to think of it...- You were also the reason why Melinda Stewart was sent off abroad. My god... You've been hounding him since last year..?"

Amaryllis thought Vienna's face couldn't get any more twisted than it is, but she was wrong. The woman before her was so furious that her face almost resembled the god of death. She started flailing around, trying to reach Amaryllis while screaming murder.

"I have no idea about what you're saying! I have nothing to do with whatever happened to Melinda- ah!" Before she could finish what she was saying, Vienna managed to grab her hair, flinging her head around.

Not long after, the screams of two women could be heard outside the streets, grabbing all the passerby's attention. The guard and the receptionist tried to break the fight but was only able to do so for short spans of time as the visitor continuously attacked Amaryllis without reprieve.

"I told you I have nothing to do with your stinking fiance-unnghh!-Let me go!" Amaryllis winced when her hair got pulled back harshly for the third time. Having lost her patience, Amaryllis did her best to trip the woman in front of her, causing them to roll on the ground while screaming and yelping. It must have been because of the pain from the fall that Vienna lost her hold on Amaryllis hair momentarily.

Taking advantage of this, Amaryllis straddled her attacker before returning the slap she received a while ago while screaming at the other party. "Enough!"

There was a pause as they both stared at each other in surprise.

"...Did you... just slap me..-?" Vienna couldn't believe it, the shock immoblizing her for a second as she looked at the furious gaze of the dark-haired woman above hers. This bitch is really crazy!  "You have the gall to look like that when you're at fault-!"

"If you're talking about faults, then blame your two-faced fiance! My life is not something he can toy around with! He-!" Amaryllis bit her tongue, as she noticed her breathing had started to accelerate abnormally. She was starting to feel very stuffy. He's... Her eyes shifted to her shaking hands in frustration. He's a demon...

Before Vienna could respond, a voice interrupted them. "...What is happening here?"

Both ladies turned to the person in unison.

"...What do you think are you doing?"

Amaryllis' face paled.
