After yesterday's chaotic ordeal, Rosa had a good breakfast this morning with the kids. Somehow, it brought back a bit of normalcy, but her mood instantly plummeted as soon as she arrived at the office. Rumors are truly dangerous. Mr. Cadell's mother probably guessed as much, so she did such an underhanded tactic. That sinister personality must really run in the blood.

Rosa let out a heavy sigh as she wiped the sweat on her forehead. Damned bosses. Damned coworkers. Since insulting her doesn't work, now they're making her do manual labor?

She snorted with a roll of her eyes. Jokes on them. Afterall, it might have been a while, but she used to do all kinds of work. Still, she won't be able to keep it up forever. With loads of overtime and physical exhaustion, the stress is going to accumulate, and she might just pass out any moment.

She can't afford that.

"Hey, newbie! Go get everyone a cup of coffee for the meeting."

Newbie? Rosa immediately plastered a smile after looking up from her desk. "Sure!" She's been working here for a year, and they still stick to that nickname as if she'd bawl her eyes out after hearing it. She doesn't know wether she should pity them or laugh at their child's play.

Mr. Fu, their section chief wrinkled his nose in disgust before hurrying her with a disatisfied tone. He was probably annoyed after getting the same cheery response considering all the things they were doing to her.

"Don't worry. I'll be sure to bring them in on time."

"You better."

Her middle finger was twitching by the time he spun around, she had to hold her hands down.

Dipshit.

Summoning all her strength, she got up from her desk, making sure to save all her work and putting the computer on sleep before going to the pantry.

She's feeling a little sluggish today, but she'll pull it off like usual. She tried to tell the chief to take the day off, but a coworker slashed the opportunity after berrating her for not being professional enough to work with a little headache.

What a bitch.

She reached the pantry and quickly gathered five cups but soon found out that the coffee had miraculously vanished.

"Oh my? I forgot to tell you there's no more coffee. You have to buy it outside." Mr. Fu's nasal tone called out from the doorway.

He was still there? Didn't he go in the meeting room a while back?

She turned to him, and smiled. "I must say... You have quite the perfect timing! I haven't been exercising lately, you see. A sprint would do me good. Thank you, Mr. Fu!" She then walked closer to him, watching his discontented face with satisfaction before ultimately asking for money.

"Then... May I ask for the money, please?"

"Why should I-"

"Mr. Fu, I think you already know that my situation is quite... well...-To put it bluntly, I'm not well-off and I have two children to feed at home, so I can't spare any money."

Mr. Fu frowned.

"Miss Rosa, you're only buying coffee, not-"

"Just coffee?? But our guests are very important clients! How could we let them drink cheap coffee? Our company prides on good service and efficiency. How can we bear to hold our heads up high if we can't even do as much as serve our esteemed guests with the best coffee?? You're an upright member of this company, so you also understand, right..? Mr. Fu?"

Pure bullshit. What she just said was utter shit, but who cares? Her loud voice got everybody's attention and she just can't wait to make the ugly tod go bankrupt over a sad pile of expensive caffeine. Because well... He just can't seem to tarnish his good reputation.

Ha! Dumb shit.

"Why... Yes, of course... I'm responsible and upright." Just as expected, he handed out his card and gave it to her all too happily while glancing around to make sure that people saw his "generosity".

"Mr. Fu is truly a good employee!" Rosa smiled as she quickly snatched the card, before he could change his mind. What a load of crap...
