I got home late from the office about three week after Jaxon was medically cleared, which he was happy about, because of how late it was June had already put Jaxon to bed and gone to bed herself so the house was silent. When I got into my room I noticed an envelope sitting on the kitchen table, I went and picked it up, "forgot about this" I sighed as I saw it was the medical bill for everything Jaxon went through. One thing I knew for sure was that there was no way I could pay this.

"What's the plan for this?" Mozzie asked me as I emerged from my closet the next morning.

"I don't know yet, I don't have anything left in my reserves and the rainy day money I get from the FBI isn't enough"

"Well there are a lot of ways you could get this money"

"I'm not going to do anything illegal Moz, I'll have my freedom in a few months, I'm not gonna blow it now"

"Well I can get you the money"

I shook my head, "you don't need to do that"

"In that case I bring up my last options"

"Moz" I sighed.

"Does the suit know about your problem?"

"No, I got that yesterday, I haven't spoken to Peter since he dropped me off last night"

"Maybe he can help you figure out a legal way to get money"

I nodded, "I need to go. You don't do what you did last time"

"He's the one who took what he wanted"

"It was shiny and green and I wanted it" Jaxon came out as we were talking about that.

"You be good" I ordered Jaxon.

"I can't promise anything" he grinned. I smirked before leaving,Jaxon just reminds me so much of myself which could be both a good and a bad thing; though it would be years before I would know which one it would turn out to be.

I had been thinking about what I could do all day while we ran around working our case. I headed up to Peter's office towards the end of the day, once I had a plan, and knocked on the door, he waved me in and I shut the door behind me. "Hey, what do ya need?"

"I know I'm not supposed to, but I was wondering if I could accept payment for just a couple of cases?"

He sighed as he looked up at me, "Neal. You know you can't, besides we pay you every once in a while, you're fine"

"I just need some extra money right now Peter. Please?"

"I'm sorry Neal, I can't allow it"

I nodded, "alright, well...We're done for the day now right..? So I'm gonna head home"

He looked at me, curiously, and nodded "See you Monday" I nodded before walking home. "Oh, Neal, I want to talk to you for a minute" June announced as soon as she heard me walk to the steps.

"What is it?" I questioned.

"Mozzie and I were talking and we came upon your circumstance. I want you to know, I would be happy to pay it for you"

"Thank you, but it's $49,034, I just can't let you do that June"

"It's not a problem, Neal"

"I know but I don't want to make you pay"

"Alright, but if you change your mind" she smiled at me.

"Thanks" I smiled back before heading upstairs to my apartment.

"Oh, hey, did June talk to you?" Mozzie asked, setting down his wine glass as soon as I opened the door.

"Mozzie, you told her to offer me money?"
