-3 months later-

-Peter's POV-

"Hey, boss, we've got a visitor, or I guess Caffrey does" Jones told me as he came into my office one afternoon.

"What..?" I looked up at him and he pointed out the window, Sara was standing down near the other agents. "Know what she's doing here?"

"Nope"

I nodded, "send her up?"

"Sure" he stepped out of the office and a few seconds later Sara stepped into my office.

"Hey, Peter" she smiled.

I smiled too, trying to hide the sadness from who she was here for, "So, what brings you back to the City?"

"I have to assist with some work back here this week so I thought I'd come by and see everyone again before I leave"

"Well we're glad to see you again. How are you liking London?" I was trying to avoid the topic of Neal for as long as possible.

"Oh, it's great. How have you been?"

"Good, El and I had a little boy a few months ago, and as you can see I've been promoted"

She smiled, "that's all great. I'm glad everything worked out, after...you know. Sorry I couldn't stay to help"

"We did get a confession from James, he just ran afterward" she didn't need to know the truth. "If you want you can come over tonight for dinner, catch up, I'm sure El won't mind" I suggested and she accepted the offer. "Why's Sara coming?" Jaxon asked when he heard Elizabeth and I talking about her later that day.

"Because she wanted to see us" Elizabeth explained.

"But she left" He pointed out.

"Are you upset about that?" I questioned, he nodded, "why?"

"Because...." that was all he said before storming up to his room, where he stayed until dinner was ready. During dinner Jaxon didn't say very much at all, he just seemed...sad, Jaxon didn't even really look up from his plate until when Sara mentioned Neal, at the point Jaxon looked at me and asked, "you didn't tell her?"

"Tell me what?" Sara asked. Jaxon looked from me to Elizabeth then back at me.

El frowned, "Peter, why wouldn't you tell her?"

"I was going to after dinner"

"What happened?" Sara asked us.

"There was this dangerous case and-" I was about to explain what happened and then thought about how Jaxon was sitting right there, "he's gone Sara"

She looked shocked and upset, "...When...?" She asked, tears now in her eyes.

"7 months ago" Sara shook her head a bit after I said that, she was obviously upset.

"...How......uhm..........How are you doing, Jaxon?" She questioned.

"I'm fine" Jaxon responded, staring straight ahead before he looked at Elizabeth, "can I go?"

"You sure, bud? You didn't eat much"

"I'm done"

"Okay" Jaxon got up as soon as she answered and ran upstairs.

"He doesn't seem fine" Sara quietly stated.

"Yeah. Yeah..he's just been saying that, even when he climbs in bed with us in the middle of the night. He is just stuck in denial on how much he's really hurting" I explained.
