Everything was going great for the first time in a while; at least until April when Peter found out everything and Rebecca turned out to have been lying about everything.

-Peter's POV-

I was about to leave to meet up with El to tell her what was happening when Jones called me back over to the files, "she must just have files on people close to Neal"

"You found something else?" I questioned. He nodded, this upset look on his face as he handed me the open file he was holding. My eyes landed on the image on the bottom corner first which was of a young woman sitting on a bench in a park, she was looking forwards so all I could see was her reddish-blonde hair, but the infant she was holding had their head rested on her shoulder and appeared to be looking at the camera. "Is this-" I started to ask, as I knew the face of that little kid.

"Yeah, Jaxon" Jones cut me off and pointed to the one other picture which was of him with Neal, the picture was definitely taken without Neal noticing.

"I need to tell Neal about this" I stated before leaving the apartment to head to Neal's.

"Hi, Peter!" Jaxon greeted me when he opened the door to the room.

"Hey bud, your dad's here right?" He nodded and opened the door.

Neal looked up from the papers on his table as I stepped in, "Did you find something?"

"Yeah...." my eyes landed on Jaxon, innocently laying on his chest on the floor, coloring. This was to sensitive of a topic for him to hear, I didn't want to scare him, "Uhm....let's step outside" I stated before heading over to the open balcony doors, followed by Neal, I closed them behind us. "So, what we found...You know how she had a file on El?"

"Yeah. What is it Peter?"

"There was a file on Jaxon too"

"....What?"

I nodded, looking sympathetically at him, "Now, Elizabeth is going to get out of the city until we take care of this, I can ask her to take Jaxon with her"

He nodded, "Thank you" I nodded, we both knew Elizabeth would be happy to take him with her.

-Neal's POV-

"Jaxon, you're gonna go to DC with Elizabeth for a little while" I explained after Peter texted me confirming she'd bring him with.

"But..why?"

"Well, not that anything will happen, but both of you might be in trouble so you guys need to go somewhere safe for a little bit"

"But if you're not sure anything will happen why leave?" He questioned as I started packing a bag for him.

"It's always better to take precautions in order to avoid an unwanted outcome"

"What could happen?" He tilted his head.

"Probably nothing. This is just for your safety" I half lied with a smile.

"What if I don't want to go?"

"There's no choice. You're leaving tomorrow morning, you need to be ready" I accidentally let the frustration through, it wasn't that I was mad at him, I was mad at everything that was happening. Jaxon didn't reply, just looked away, I sighed to calm myself. "Bud, look, I'm sorry. I'm just looking out for you. You need to listen when I tell you what's good and what's not, you know that"

He nodded, "sorry"

"It's okay. It's perfectly fine to ask questions, I'm just a bit busy's all. You wanna know something?" He looked at me curiously as I asked that, "DC is the place I'm from" I said like it was an interesting thing as I knelt in front of him.
