Chapter 10

Vhong's POV
Today is Saturday and tonight is the celebration for the new endorser of YB Company which is me. Next two weeks is our flight to LA. I'm coming with Tanya together with her secretary. Her secretary informed me about our flight, of course, she had my digits. Kanina lang din ay nagtext siya sa akin na nasa hotel na daw iyong susuotin ko. Room 18, fourth floor, Legatha's Building. I heard sa second floor gaganapin 'yong party/celebration. Alam kong maraming bigatin ang dadalo. Well, including my family and showtime hosts and staffs because this celebration will serve as my despidida party, also.

Hindi ko alam kung anong sumapi sa katawan ko at naisipan kong itext si Tanya. Don't get me wrong. It's just that... gusto ko lang bumati ng Goodmorning. Wala naman atang masama doon.

Halos matawa ako sa sinabi ko. I know she don't want me to call her baby. But I'm just a little bit amused with her face everytime she's annoyed. Now, I'm imagining her mad face.

I bite my lips, urging to smile. Iniwan ko ang cellphone ko sa kama at dumiretso sa bathroom. May plano sana akong mag-gym ngayong araw kaso gusto kong manood nalang ng movie sa loob ng kwarto ko. Habang naliligo ay 'di ko maiwasang isipin ang naiiritang mukha ngayon ni Tanya. I know she's pissed off coz I don't replied back. Knowing her, she's always irritated when it comes to me. Maybe she had a crush on me, lol.

I don't want to assume but I think she's jealous yesterday. Lalo na 'nong hinila ni Lexy—avid fan ko, ang braso ko. Tapos palagi niya pang tinatanong sa akin sa loob ng sasakyan kung sino iyon, eh pabalik-balik ko na ngang sinasabi na "wala lang naman siya". Halos matawa ako sa nakabusangot niyang mukha at pati pintor ay 'di kayang ipinta ang mukha niya. Isama mo pa 'yong sa parking lot ng restaurant sa kinainan namin kahapon. Eh, hindi ko naman kasi akalaing makikita ko 'yong fan ko doon. Syempre, kakausapin ko siya. I don't wanna be rude to her, thinking that she's my avid fan. Sa industriya kasi ng pag-aartista o pagmo-model, kailangan mong pakisama sa mga totoo mong fan kasi minsan lang sila. They are very rampant. Iyong tipong lahat ng project mo ay nandiyan sila para sumuporta sa iyo. Pa-good points na rin iyon, noh. Iyong papansinin mo sila.

I don't know why Tanya acts like my girlfriend yesterday. Even if she didn't mean it, tho. Her eyes is actually contradicting her words. But I know she's madly jealous. Hindi ko lang talaga mahanap iyong sagot kung bakit kailangan niyang magselos, eh mukha namang wala 'yong nararamdaman sa'kin at higit sa lahat wala namang namamagitan sa aming dalawa. Weh ba?

Napailing nalang ako sa mga iniisip ko. This past few days, I've been thinking her everytime I'm having a freetime. Tinapos ko na ang pagligo ko at dumiretso sa walk in closet. I wore a white sleeveless and black short. I'm staying in my house so why bothering myself to wear an elegant one? Kahit naman ganito lang ang suot ko madami paring nabibihag sa kagwapuhan ko. Hindi naman sa pagmamayabang pero sinasabi ko lang ang totoo.

Humarap ako sa body sized mirror ng walk in closet ko at pinicturan ang sarili postura. I shared it to my Ig story. One second ago and already 100 account who already seen it but only one account caught my eyes. It was Tanya's official account "TanyaBautista29". Hindi ko naman akalaing mapapasama siya sa mga fans ko. Usually, most of my updates, only my fans who will seen it first or maybe I'm just giving too much attention to her account? I click her picture and it brought me to her account. I followed her and minutes passed, she followed me back. Siguro wala siyang meeting ngayon at namamalagi sa kanyang office o baka naman naghahanda na para sa party? Speaking of the party, I don't know yet when it will start. I asked Audrey through text, well I have a number of her so. She said the party will start around 7pm. Tinext ko na din kay Dad ang info's para sa party. Hindi ko na tinext sila Vice dahil alam kong alam na nila 'yon. It must've been included in the invitation. Sila Dad lang ang walang invitation kasi hindi ako nanghingi kay Audrey, HAHA. Considered na naman kasi na dadalo sila. Of course, they are my parents. Iyong dalawa kong kapatid ay hindi sasama due to their hectic schedules which is naiintindihan ko naman. Tapos iyong isa ko pang kapatid ay nasa Hongkong, off to vacation with his children.

Dumiretso ako sa kwarto ko at sumalampak sa kama. I reclined my back at the wall and put my phone beside me. With the remote in my hand, I turned the TV on. I find a movie who suites my mood on Netflix. At the end, I found myself watching Stranger Things 3. I missed Eleven, tho. I took a picture of me, watching the movie and shared it on my Ig story. I captioned "Need someone to watch with". I don't expect that Tanya's friend will reply on my story saying "Well, I'm suggesting my friend, Tanya". At first, I don't recognized her but based on what she said, she's a friend of Tanya. I replied her "Lol" but ending? She just react my message, haha-react.

2:30pm in the afternoon when I finished my movie marathon with myself. I decided to just go in the hotel where the party was held up. I didn't take off my white sleeveless instead I doubled my White V-neck shirt to it partnered with khaki short.

Pagdating ko roon ay dumiretso agad ako sa 4th floor. Huminto ang elevator sa 3rd floor, pahiwatig na may sasakay doon papuntang 4th floor. I was shocked when I saw Tanya and she was, too.

"Why are you here in this floor?" I uttered after she stand beside me.

"Why are you asking?" She arched her brow.

"Obviously, I want to know" I scoffed.

"I just ate in their restaurant. I'd got a starving tummy" She said.

"Palagi kang gutom, noh?" Wala sa sarili kong tugon.

"Why? You want me to eat you?" She teased. Oh com'on girl, HAHA.

"Are you trying me? Baka ikaw pa ang makain ko" I cleared my throat. I saw how his teasing smile faded and formed into an annoying face with a red cheeks. Gotya.

Sabay kaming lumabas sa elevator at dumiretso sa room 18. Suite 18 is our make up room. Pagdating ko 'don ay binati kami ng mga stylist which is kilala ko na. Minsan ko na din silang nakasama sa tuwing may event akong pinupuntahan. I brought my Hairstylist, Jun Parcelo. Mabuti nalang at nandito na siya.

Hindi ko alam kung ako lang ba ito pero kitang kita ko sa mga mata nila ang pagtutok sa aming dalawa ni Tanya. Naramdaman siguro ito ni Tanya kaya lumayo siya sa'kin. Well, I think we need to start our preparation.

Alas sais y midya at nakahanda na ang lahat. I'm the escort of Tanya. She said it wasn't her decision but it was her Dad. Sounds defensive? HAHA.

We're currently heading to the venue. Nakasabay pa namin si Audrey with her cocktail tube dress. Sabay kaming sumakay ng elevator. Halos matawa ako sa sinabi ni Audrey.

"Ma'am, Jevy said, you're MANDATORY to put your hand on Sir Vhong's arm" Audrey emphasized the word 'mandatory'. She look at Tanya and blink her left eye to me. Seriously? What's with the people right now. Is there something between me and Tanya. 'Di naman sa nagmamaang-maangan ako pero.

"Eto naman si Sir Vhong, 'wag ka ng mag-maang-maangan pa" Audrey added. I saw how Tanya glared at Audrey, making Audrey shut up.

"I know what I'm doing. It's not obligatory to hold his arm even if we're not in public" She uttered in an stern voice.

When the elevator opened, Audrey already left us. I stepped first outside of the elevator while Tanya's still inside. I offered my hand to her, she gave her hand to me like she's hesitating. Lol. We walked together after I put her hand in my arm.

"You thought we're going to walk while holding each other's hand?" I chuckled.

"Funny" She rolled her eyes. Natawa naman ako sa inasal niya.

"Want watching movie with me?" I said normally.

"I'm busy" She reasoned out.

"What if I'll invite you, you'll change you're mind?" I calmly asked. It seems like my knees are trembling with her touch.

"I-I don't know. S-stop asking we're going on the front door" She stuttered. Why? HAHA. It looks like she's uneasy, huh? Cute.

"S-stop staring at me. Prepare for our red carpet walk" Hindi ko akalaing nakatitig na pala ako sa kanya. Ni hindi ko nga alam na nasa harap na kami ng front door ng venue. Bubukas ang front door kapag tinawag na kami ng host at iyon ang hudyat na maglalakad na kami sa gitna nilang lahat. Kinakabahan ako na ewan. Lol.

I shift my gaze from the door to the girl whom beside me. She's wearing a white satin dress ending inches above her knees. The thin strap revealed her arms and collarbones and it was perfectly fit on her body.

"You look so gorgeous" I said after I managed to survey her. Halatang nagulat siya sa sinabi ko. Her cheeks turn in red. Nag-iwas siya ng tingin.

"Wala ka bang balik puri diyan? Like You're handsome, too—" I stopped talking when she scowled at me.

"Please give 'em a round of applause. The heiress of YB Company, Ms. Tanya Bautista together with her escort... the new endorser of YB Company, Mr. Vhong Navarro" The host said as the frontdoor opened and the crowd gave us their loud claps.

With a smile in my face, I walked with Tanya in the red carpet they prepared. It was shine like it premeditated. I looked at Tanya and she's smiling widely. Ngayon ko lang siya nakitang ganito kasaya. A genuine one.

"You looked even prettier when you're smiling. What a lovely girl" I whispered softly while we're walking, heading to the prepared chair for us. Kitang-kita ko kung ga'no uminit muli ang kanyang pisngi sa sinabi ko. I heard her chuckled and the people in this place looked to us meaningfully. I even heard someone shouted "lovebirds" made us laughed so hard. Mas lalo pa akong nakaramdam ng hiya nang sumigaw si Jhong ng "bakuran mo na si crush". Damn! I glared at him and he just chuckled. Tumingin ako kay Tanya at nakita kong mas lalo pang pumula ang kayang pisngi. Nagulat naman ako ng tumingin din siya sa'kin dahilan para magkahagipan kami ng mga mata at magkatitigan ng ilang segundo habang naglalakad ng dahan-dahan. Mas lalo lang silang umingay dahil sa nangyaring iyon. It's like there's an electricity running between me and her.

"After that sweet sensation scene, we'll proceed to the introduction of our singers and dancers. Please welcome, XB Gensan!" Rinig kong sabi ng host matapos naming umupo ni Tanya sa gitna at mismong harap ng stage. I think this is the entertainment part. Maraming sasayaw, kakanta at mga baklang magpapasaya sa gabi.

"Felt relieved" aniya kaya natawa ako ng bahagya. Kinabahan din ata siya.
