"Think we can make it through this?" Leo asks me while yawning. "I think we'll be okay." He sighs and rolls onto his back, looking up at the ceiling. "Hey mom?" I hum in response but he hesitates before talking again. "D-Do you think dad will ever come back?" I think about his question while looking out the window and sigh. "I don't know. We'll keep looking for him though."I soon hear his light snores and get up, going over to him and tucking him in. I kiss his head before going back over to the window. *Some Time Later* "I-It's so c-cold." I stop and take my jacket off, putting it on him and zipping it up. I take my hat off and put it on him too. "But, what about you?" I shake my head and crouch down to his level. "You are my main priority right now. I can handle the cold, I don't want you to get hypothermia." He nods and we continue walking.

*More Time Later*

We stop in front of a big lake. I crouch down to his level and grip his shoulders. "You're gonna have to go first Leo." He shakes his head. "No, I'm not leaving you!" I let go of him and blow into my hands, trying to warm them up. "You're not leaving me. You're just going to go first because you don't weigh a lot. I'll be right behind you." He nods and goes onto the ice. I wait until he's a good few feet ahead and then follow him. He makes it to the other side and I'm in the middle of the lake. Suddenly, the ice starts making noise and I look down quickly. The ice starts cracking and I start to panic. I look at Leo and take a deep breath. "Leo, go find your father!" He shakes his head. "No! I ain't leaving ya!" I grit my teeth and the ice starts feeling weaker underneath me. "Listen! Go find your father! His name is Daryl Dixon! Tell him that Angel sent you! He'll take care of you! I'll find you, I promise!" I can see tears streaming down his face and it breaks my heart seeing him like that.

I watch as he leaves and clench my fists. I slowly take a step and the ice breaks under me, my leg falling in the water. "Fuck." I quickly try to get out and the ice break more, my bottom half falling into the water. I hear groaning and growls behind me and start panicking again. Suddenly, gunshots are fired and I look to see some people shooting behind me. A man gets onto the ice and starts trying to help me. Eventually, he helps me out and towards the bank of the lake. "Thanks." He nods and takes his jacket off, handing it to me. I put it on and breathe into my hands, rubbing them together and then sticking them into the pockets of the jacket. "I'm Aiden, the guy that helped you is Glenn. And this is Noah and Tara." I nod at them and see how Tara is tense. "I'm Angel." Aiden looks me up and down before speaking again. "Angel what?" I bite the inside of my cheek before answering.

"Dixon, Angel Dixon. I have a son but I told him to leave. I didn't want to weigh him down." I look at them and Glenn has a weird look on his face. "You're Angel?" I nod and look at him suspiciously. "Your son, is his name Leo?" I squint my eyes at him and nod. "He's back at our camp right now. We had some other people with us and told them to take him to our camp. Come on, we'll take you to him." I sigh with relief and follow them to a truck. *At Alexandria* We all get out of the truck and Glenn goes over to a woman with short brown hair, hugging her. Tara and Noah walk their separate ways too. Aiden comes around and is about to say something but Glenn beats him to it. "I'll take you to your boy." I nod and follow Glenn and the brown haired woman towards a house. "This is my wife, Maggie by the way." She smiles at me and I smile back with a wave.

We enter the house and Maggie leads me into the kitchen. A woman with short grey hair is talking with Leo while he's eating cookies. He turns and sees me. He quickly gets up and run to me, hugging me tightly. "I knew you'd find me! I'm glad you're okay." I smile down at him and pat his back, pulling out of the hug. "Are you being good for these people?" He nods and the woman who gave him cookies smiles at me. "He's the most respectable boy I've ever known. He was on his best behavior." I smile at her and Leo sits down again, finishing his cookies. "I'm Angel, thank you for watching over him." She sets a glass of milk in front of Leo and sits down next to me. "I'm Carol and I don't mind." *Some Time Later* It's getting darker outside and Leo yawns, leaning his head against me. I put my arm around him and let him rest his head on my lap. I've met some more people from Glenns group and found out that everybody is nice.

Rick comes over to me and looks at Leo with a smile. "He's a brave boy." I look at him confused and he explains. "Whenever he was brought here, he held a knife in front of him and threatened me and some of my group." I chuckle nervously. "Yeah, he's cautious when it comes to strangers." He nods and sits on the other couch. I hear a motorcycle rumble and Rick clears his throat. "That must be Daryl." A shiver goes down my spine hearing that name. Maybe it's somebody else? The door suddenly opens and a gruff man walks in. I feel my blood run cold and stand up, making sure not to wake Leo. Daryl turns and freezes when he sees me. "Angel?" I glare at him and turn, picking up Leo. "Rick, is there a room we can stay in?" He nods and points down the hallway. I nod and walk pass Daryl down the hall to a room. I lay Leo down on the queen sized bed and tuck him in. I kiss his head and turn to shut the door, but see Daryl standing in the doorway.

I go over to him and lightly push him out, shutting the door behind me. "What do you want Daryl?" I cross my arms over my chest and glare up at him. "Can we talk?" I sigh but nod, following him outside to the backyard. We sit on a bench and he talks. "Is he...mine?" I roll my eyes. "Yes Daryl, I wasn't with anybody else. And just so you know, we took your last name." He looks like he's thinking before he talks again. "What's his full name?" I uncross my arms and sigh. "Leo Merle Dixon." Daryl gasps quietly and I look at him, seeing tears streaming down his face. I bite my lip and wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him into me. He silently cries into my chest and I rub his back. Eventually, he stops crying and I pull away from him. "I've missed you so much Angel." I wipe some of his tears away and give him a small smile. "I missed you too Dare." He grabs my hands and gives me a serious look.

"I promise you, that I'll never leave again." I nod and give him a quick peck on the lips. We stand and go back inside the house. Leo is standing in front of the bedroom door, rubbing his eye. "Hey Leo, did we wake you?" He nods and yawns. Daryl opens the door and let us walk in first, shutting the door behind him. He sits in the chair in the corner as I tuck Leo into bed. "Mom, who's that?" I smile at him and look at Daryl. "That's your dad. But you'll see him again in the morning. So get some rest." He nods and yawns again. I lay down next to him and open the blanket for Daryl. He takes the hint and climbs in beside me. He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close to him. I close my eyes and sigh. I've missed this feeling so much. Eventually, we all fall asleep.
