*The next day*
Merle stands outside the tent and keeps watch while I change into different clothes. (Outfit above but with a crossbow instead). I get out of the tent and start taking it down. Merle whistles behind me. I roll my eyes and put the tent into my bag. "Lets get going Merle. We're burning daylight." He chuckles and we start on our way again. *Some time later* It's been a few hours but we're at a farm now. "Stay here, we don't wanna scare anybody." He grunts but nods, staying at the end of the steps. I go to the door and knock. "Hello? Anybody home?" I hear shuffling inside and hold my bow encase I need to attack. The door cracks open and an old man peaks out at me. I give him my best smile and he opens the door all the way, showing that he's friendly and not going to hurt us. "Hi there. What can I do for ya?"
I step to the side and let him come out. He instantly looks at Merle and eyes him up and down. I step into his line of sight and frown a little. "Don't worry sir, as long as I'm here he won't hurt nobody. I promise you that." He sighs and shakes his head. "Sorry, it's just we don't get to many visitors nowadays." I nod and walk down the steps to Merle, wrapping an arm around his neck and pulling him down to my height a little. I give the old man a sweet smile. "We understand sir, but if you could be as kind as to let us stay here for a while? We have our own tent so we can just sleep outside." He smiles at me and glances at Merle. "I'm Hershel ma'am, what might I call you two?" I let go of Merle and keep a small smile. "This is Merle Dixon and I'm Georgia Rhee. And again, Merle won't hurt nobody as long as I'm here." Hershel smiles at me. "Well, my daughters are doing chores around the house at the moment, but I'll have them come and say hello in a little bit."
I nod and grab Merles wrist, pulling him to a small treeline. I set up our tent and pull my sleeping bag out, setting it on the ground a little ways away from the tent. Merle looks at me confused. "The hell ya doin' girly?" I sit on my sleeping bag and set my bow in front of me. "What's it look like? I'm sleeping out here." Merle shakes his head and scoffs. "I ain't bought ta let no woman sleep on the damn ground." I roll my eyes and ignore him as I begin to clean and sharpen my knives. He huffs in annoyance and sits in front of me. "Look at me." I continue cleaning my knife and don't look up at him. "Fine, don't look at me. But you're gonna listen ta me." He pauses before speaking again. "It ain't right fer a woman ta sleep on the hard ground. Ya should sleep in my tent, I'll sleep out here." I sigh and set my knife down.
I look at him with a scowl. "Why the hell ya trying so much? You and I both know ya ain't no gentlemen around the ladies. So don't try and be nice ta me, okay? Because the very last thing I ever want from somebody, is pity." Merle gives me sad look and before he can say anything, we hear a gunshot in the distance. I grab my bow and stand up, seeing men run towards Hershels house while holding a boy. "Get in the tent and don't come out unless I scream for you." Merle stands up and listens to me, zipping the tent halfway. *The group is at the farm* I see Glenn and stand beside Merle just staring at him. I see Daryl too and nudge Merle. "I see him." We just stand next to each other staring at the group. Rick points to us and everybody looks over at us. Everybody run towards us. Glenn tackles me into a hug and cries on my shoulder. I pat his back a few times before pulling away from him.
"I'm alright Glenn. Merle and I kept each other safe." He wipes his tears away and nods. He walks away to compose himself and I look around at the group. Before I can say anything, I'm tackled again into another hug. But this time, it's Daryl. I glance at Merle and he just smirks at me. I pat Daryls back too and he pulls away to look down at me. "I've been wantin' ta do this ever since the first time I met ya." I look at him confused but feel his lips on mine before I can even question him. I kiss back without hesitation and feel his arms wrap tightly around my waist. I drop my bow on the ground beside us and wrap my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. "Alright you two love birds, stop eatin' each others faces off." We pull away from the kiss and Daryl glares at his brother. I let go of Daryl and walk over to Merle, grabbing his shoulder and bringing him down to my height. I kiss his cheek and let go of him, smiling at his blushing face.
"Don't worry Merle. I won't ever forget about you." Daryl comes over and wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me into him lightly. "I wanted ta thank ya fer taking care of ma brother. Nobody else would've done that." I smile up at Daryl. "He wasn't any trouble really. Other than his loud ass snoring, I had no trouble with him." Merle scoffs but grins and Daryl laughs at his brother. "Yeah, I think she'll make a great Dixon." I kiss Daryl on his cheek and let go of him, going over to my sleeping bag and picking it up. "Well Merle, I guess ya win with the sleeping arrangements." I put my sleeping bag into my tent and hand Merle his sleeping bag, Daryl sets up another tent a little ways off from mine fro Merle. Merle chuckles and nods, going inside the tent Daryl set up for him. Daryl sets his sleeping bag next to mine and get in beside me. I zip the tent and lay down next to him. "Night Dare-Bear." He chuckles and holds me close to him. "G'night baby girl."
