^ A reminder of what Danny looks like ^
I pull out of the hug and smile up at him. "Lets head inside." He nods and follows me inside. Daryl sets a few bags on the table in the kitchen. "I'll go through these, go rest." He gives me a look and opens the bags. I sigh and Hershel comes into the kitchen, seeing the bags. He smiles at the bags but frowns again, while thinking about something. "Danny. You need to come into the living room, Rick has something he needs to tell you." I nod and Daryl and I start putting things away faster. Once we're done, I follow him into the living room and see everybody with concerned looks. "What's wrong?" Rick steps forward. "Some men came by and I don't think they wanted help." I look around at everybody and remain an expressionless face. "Did they talk? Or say any of their names? Or who they were?" He nods, "Yeah, one was Joe and another one was Len." Len, that's one of the names that was said while Daryl and I were at the mall.
I look at Daryl and look back at Rick. "They're the men that Daryl and I had a run-in with while at the mall. We hid from them until they left." I pause, thinking about my next words carefully. "We need to leave. If they're dangerous, then they'll want this place for themselves. I rather have us leave then loose anybody while fighting to protect this place." Rick thinks about what I said while some of them protest. "She's right. We need to go while it's still safe. If we can prevent anymore heartache and pain, then I say we leave." Daryl agrees with me. In the end, almost everybody agrees with me. "Alright then, we pack up tonight and leave tomorrow first thing in the morning." Rick tells everybody. Lori rolls her eyes but keeps quiet.
*Skip to at the prison* (Daryls POV)
Beth and I are running from the prison, leaving everybody behind. We keep running until we can't anymore and fall onto the ground in the middle of a field. I hope everybody else got out okay. I hope Danny is alright. She was taken by the governor while on a run with Glenn. He hasn't brought them back yet and I fear that they're dead. God, I hope they're not dead. Please don't be dead.
(3rd Person POV)
*Flashback*
Glenn and Danny have made their way to town. Michonne sees them from behind a car and watches as they gather supplies, including a toy for the baby. Merle then sneaks up, and Glenn and Danny raise their guns toward him. Merle recognizes Glenn and they have a conversation about each other's survival. Merle asks about Daryl and Glenn reveals that he's alive, which causes Merle to want to return to their camp along with Danny and Glenn, but Glenn refuses, causing a scuffle. In the ensuing confusion, Merle grabs Danny, holds his gun to her head, and orders Glenn to drive the three of them to Woodbury.
Merle binds Glenn to a chair and interrogates him, demanding to know his group's location. Glenn tries to reason with him by telling him that the group went back to Atlanta to rescue him Glenn refuses to give up the location, then head-butts Merle, which enrages him further. In the next room, Danny listens, terrified, as Merle continues to beat Glenn. A beaten and bloodied Glenn tells Merle his friends are coming for him, boasting of the group's size and strength: "Rick, Shane, Dale, Jim, Andrea," he says. "Is that right?" Merle replies, smirking at Glenn's bluff, for Andrea's now a resident of Woodbury, and had informed Merle of Jim and Dale's demise.
Rick, Daryl, and Oscar decide to rescue Glenn and Danny. As they load a car with weapons, Rick pulls Carl aside, instructing him to keep the group safe if he doesn't make it back. Carl asks Rick if they can name the baby Judith, after his third grade teacher. "I think Judith's a fine name," Rick says, smiling. Then, the rescue team, including Michonne, departs.
Glenn still refuses to reveal his group's location, so Merle unleashes a walker in the interrogation room and leaves. Still bound, Glenn manages to smash his chair against the back wall, then stabs the walker through the head with the splintered chair arm. Meanwhile, The Governor and Merle discuss Glenn's unwillingness to cooperate. The Governor decides to question Danny himself. The Governor cuts Danny's bonds and offers to return her to her group. When she gives him the silent treatment, he orders her to remove her shirt and bra. He unbuckles his belt with weapons, sidles close, shoves her head against the table, and threatens her, to which she replies, "Do whatever you want, you bastard." He scoffs at her defiance and then leaves the room.
Meanwhile, the rescue team encounters a herd of walkers in the forest and flees to a cabin. Inside, a hermit threatens to shoot them, but he is slowly talked down by Rick. When Rick grabs him, he breaks free and dashes for the door. Michonne stabs him through the back with her sword. They throw his body to the walkers as a distraction and escape through the back door.
(Danny's POV)
Merle brings me to Glenn's room, I'm still topless. "We're through with games," The Governor says. "One of you is gonna give up your camp." He raises his gun at Me. "Prison," Glenn blurts, revealing there are 10 survivors who set up camp after clearing the walkers inside. Merle believed the prison, located near Newnan, Georgia, to be impenetrable, but his theory had been debunked. The Governor pretends to soothe me, and then thrusts me at Glenn.
(3rd Person POV)
In the interrogation room, Glenn and Danny huddle several feet away from the walker that Glenn killed. Danny confirms that the Governor didn't rape her. Glenn yanks off the walker's arm, snaps the forearm in half and hands Danny a shard of bone to use as a weapon. Meanwhile, Merle goes to collect Glenn and Danny but the two stage an ambush. Danny stabs one of Merle's men, , in the throat but before they can overpower Merle, a group of Woodbury soldiers enter and restrain them. Rick and the rescue team follow the sound of gunfire into the warehouse where Glenn and Danny are being held. Rick releases a smoke grenade, enabling the group to escape with Glenn and Danny. As gunfire erupts in the street, the Governor tells residents to hunker down at home. He tells his men "We are under attack, don't take any chances trying to take prisoners. You shoot to kill."
The rescue team regroups in Woodbury's distribution center, where Glenn tells Daryl that Merle is alive and working for the Governor. "He was gonna execute us," Glenn says. Daryl wants to find Merle to try and convince him to let them go, but Rick insists that he stay by his side.
(Danny's POV)
"What do you mean he's gone?!" Rick puts his hand up and looks down at the ground as the prison gate closes. "He wanted to get his brother, Merle." I shake my head, so many emotions running through me all at once. I stomp away and go into the prison, going to my cell and staying away from everybody. Daryl Dixon is so dead when he gets back here. If he gets back here.
