"How much longer?" Carter asks, clearly tired and annoyed. I readjust Sam on my hip and sigh. "Not much longer. Once we find your uncle, we'll be safer." He sighs and we keep walking. I'm Grace Walsh. I'm the youngest Walsh sibling. My older brothers are Shane Walsh and Kevin Walsh. Carter and Sam are Kevin's kids and I was visiting them when the world decided to go to hell. We lost Kevin, but I was the one that put him out of his misery. I couldn't let the boys see him like that. Now, we're on our way to Atlanta where Shane is probably at.

*Time Skip*

I hot-wired a car and now we're driving through Atlanta. I stop the car and furrow my eyebrows, seeing a bunch of those geeks surrounding a tank. Some are eating a horse, who would be dumb enough to bring a horse into the city. "Carter, lock the doors as soon as I leave. And be completely quiet." He nods and exit the car, shutting the door quietly. I crouch down, holding my machete tightly. I see a guy come out of the tank suddenly and then another guy open a fence and starts yelling to him.

I quickly run towards the guy that's yelling and all three of us climb up a fire escape to the roof. "I'm Glenn." I catch my breath as the two guys talk for a minute. Then I look at them and realize that the guy that came out of the tank is none other than Rick, my brothers best friend. "Holy shit, Rick?" He looks at me and relieved and shocked. "Oh thank goodness you alive Grace. Where's Shane, Kevin and the boys?" I sigh. "I don't where Shane is and the boys are with me. They're safe though so don't worry. Kev however, he didn't make it."

*Time Skip going to the quarry*

Apparently, Glenn and the people he was with, have a group. And Glenn said that Shane is in that group. So, we're on our way to a quarry right now. Rick handcuffed a guy named Merle to the roof and T-dog dropped the key. Luckily, I caught the key in time and unlocked Merle from the pipe. Nobody wanted to ride with him so he's riding with me and the boys. "Thanks fer savin' me sugar." I glance over at him and then look back at the boys, they're asleep. "Don't mention it." He chuckles and leans back into the seat. "Those yer boys?" I think about his question for a minute before answering.

"No, they're my nephews. But they're my responsibility now." He hums in response and then it's quiet again. We eventually get to the quarry and Merle takes his time getting out of the car. I look back and see that the boys are still asleep and sigh. I get out and unbuckle Sam, holding him on my hip while he sleeps. Then I go to Carters side and open his door. I unbuckle him too and gently pick him up. Merle goes to say something but someone yelling his name stops him and he turns around. A man around my age, maybe a little older, comes over to Merle and hands him a string of squirrels. I ignore them while they talk and open the trunk the best I can.

Someone beside me catches my attention and I glance at them, seeing Shane. "Grace." I shush him and he realizes that the boys are sleeping. "I'll take one." I shake my head and motion to the trunk. He nods and grabs our stuff out of it. *After setting up* I lay the boys in their sleeping bags in the tent and kiss their heads, before leaving and zipping the tent closed. Once I come out I'm immediately tackled into a hug. I let Shane hug me for a little bit before pushing him off. "I was so worried about you guys. Rick told me about Kev." I look at Rick as he hugs Lori and kisses her. "The boys don't know about him and I wanna keep it that way until they're older." He nods and looks behind me. "Oh great, here comes the redneck trash." I look at him confused and then turn around, seeing Merle and that guy that yelled for him earlier.

"Grace, this is my brother Daryl." Merle nudges his brother and Daryl stumbles on his words for a few seconds before spitting it out. "T-Thanks fer uh...savin my brother." I smile at him and shrug. "It's nothing. I wasn't gonna leave someone alone and helpless on the roof of a building." Merle scoffs and rolls his eyes. "Like I was helpless." I shake my head and punch Merle's shoulder. This takes him by surprise and then he smiles at me. "You hunt, Daryl? I saw the string of squirrels ya had earlier." He rubs his neck and chuckles, glancing at his brother. "Y-Yea, why?" I smile at him and then open the tent, grabbing my crossbow. I zip the tent again and hold it up for them to see. "I hunt too. Wouldn't mind some company, if you're up to it sometime."
