You had all been through so much, losing the farm was a hard blow. Being on the road for so long had taken its toll on everyone.

If it wasn't stressful enough Lori was near her due date, but you did everything you could to keep her safe, to protect her.

You found yourself almost being her personal guard, protecting her from walkers, making sure she rests, sometimes giving her most of your food.

In turn, Daryl would give you some of his food, knowing that you weren't getting as much as him and even though you tried to deny it, he was incredibly stubborn.

"You need to eat it, you go out everyday hunting, protecting us, you need it more." You told him, as he held out his plate in front of you.

Daryl never said a word but pushed the plate further into your face forcing you to take some.

You sighed and took a little from his plate. You looked over at him with a small smile on your face.

"Thank you."

Days had passed food was getting scarcer, you were all slowly exhausting yourself, so the rick decided that you should all camp here for the night.

Sitting down making sure everyone was comfortable especially Lori Daryl wandered up to you.

"Me and Rick are gonna look for some food, stay here okay," Daryl kept his voice low and soft leaning over to kiss your forehead.

"Be careful" you whispered leaning into his kiss.

You and Daryl had found comfort in each other on the farm. It was a peaceful place, a place where you didn't have to worry about your life every day and with that, you found your relationship.

Daryl was never one for public displays of affection, but you never once doubted that he loved you. Even though he never said it. you learned quite early on that he was never one for words, but that actions speak louder than words.

Daryl had saved your life more times than you can count, and, in more ways, you found something in him that you thought didn't exist anymore let lone find it at the end of the world.

You walked back from seeing Daryl off and made your way to sit next to Lori.

"(Y/N)", Lori asked with a slightly worried tone.

"What is it?" you always seemed to worry about Lori more than anyone else, well other than Daryl.

"You can't tell Rick, but I haven't felt the baby in a couple of days", Lori confided in you.

You turned so you were facing her properly and took her hands in yours.

"Hey, your baby is going to be okay, you're going to be okay, we've been on the road for days, your stressed and worried, we'll find somewhere soon, and everything will be okay." You placed your hand on her belly and gave her a reassuring smile.

At this point, you didn't know if you were trying to convince her or yourself.

After a while Rick and Daryl returned but not with the usual somber look on there faces, they looked relieved maybe even happy.

Rick announced that they had found something and that you should all follow as Daryl made his way to you and took your hand leading you with everyone else.

As you peeked over the crest of the small hill Daryl and rick were leading you too you saw walls and fences, they had found a prison. Even though a few walkers occupied in inner fences it was nothing you couldn't handle.

Everything had gone smoothly you had gotten rid of the walkers, you had pushed yourselves inside and made a home in one of the cell blocks.

As always you watched over Lori but when an attack from walkers on the inside split you up you started to get distressed.
